I found it weird but I eventually got around to it. Simple and Clean suits the dish washing but Hikari is like ' a wah?? '

I could find some similarities with Kingdom Hearts from 2:20 onward:

 

The dancers look like the dancer nobodies

 

Utada's clothes and some hand gestures remind me of Xemnas

 

The petals remind me of Maluxia's desperation attack in KH2FM

 

When the background begins changing it reminds me of the machines and buildings in the final fights with Xemnas

lol this video' s been around for a long time. It's one of my favorites by Utada. The animation in the beginning is so beautiful. There are more like them, they're all done by the same company and the same animator and director, all for her Exodus album.

Actually Utada has said why she made that video, it's bc she loves to wash the dishes and she finds it very relaxing, and I think that they (her managers or whatever) wanted her to make a video for that song, so she was like "whatever, I'll just give 'em this". Lol
