At mark 3:33 - What is the connection or foreshadowing between Riku and Young Xehanort?

 

From what I understand,

 

Young Xehanort is his own person. Correct?

 

Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, only gave him the power to travel and never really merged. Correct?

 

Riku only had himself taken over by Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, in the first game. (Which left somewhat a long linger side effect in him and darkness...)

They both longed to leave the island so they can see other worlds and fell to darkness bc of it

I guess it meant he was going to become infused with darkness from YMX because YMX techincally is Ansem

So are you stating that Terra see's how he will end the same as YX? I mean i truly understand what you are telling me, but I strongly believe somehow those two are intertwined.

Im saying Terras probably seeing that Riku is on the same path as YMX..that doesnt mean that the end result will be the same though. Especially bc Riku ends up choosing the road to dawn .But in the beginning before all that ,yes they were traveling the same path .and also this could be symbolizing that YMX would end up in Rikus heart as Ansem bc of this...so yes they are intertwined just not family related .

I think it's worth mentioning that Young Riku wanted to leave the island but he also wanted power to protect his friend, while KH1 Riku ended up taking Ansem SoD offer. *Slight spoiler?*

I'm guessing that some of his behavior in KH1 was because he was slowly becoming possessed.

Riku was originally chosen to be one of the 13 Darkness. So is it possible YX or MX had some kind of involvement to begin with?

It could simply just be the fact that they are so similar. Terra seems to have some sort of psychic ability or something...he shows it both there and when he talks to Xehanort for the first time at the keyblade graveyard (he saw a brief flash of everything that would happen at the end). I'm curious as to how this will play out later...if it means anything at all lol.
