Here's the answer from khwiki.net. Two characters seen so far are able to dual wield: Roxas and Sora (Valor, Master, and Final forms). Roxas is able to dual wield because of the influences of Sora (Obviously) and Ventus (which by now should not be a surprise). However, Xion stole (in a sense) Ventus' keyblade from him and thus Roxas was only able to use one keyblade until he reabsorbed her. As Sora is Roxas's natural half, he is theoretically able to utilize all of Roxas's abilities, as seen in his drive forms, but also theoretically also naturally. Oh, and the ability to dual-wield is called Synch Blade Oh, and technically Riku can also dual-wield, though how he can do so is not yet known Edited May 4, 201213 yr by AJTREY

May 4, 201213 yr Riku can only do so momentarily when Sora gives it to him. And why did you quote me? -___- I knew all of this. But he can still do it, as it was shown once. And I quoted you because I was talking to you, correcting your information in regards to the concepts of the heart Xion did not steal anyone's keyblade she merely copied its power from Roxas, her keyblade is fake. Roxas was able to duel wield at the end of days because xion awakened the ability he had all along Your right, she didn't steal it, at least not in the modern sense. She siphoned it off. And no, Roxas could always duel wield because of the fact that he always had two keyblades- Ventus' and Sora's. The only difference is that he lost his ability because he lost his second keyblade. Think of it like this: When Roxas was created, the ability was his. When Xion was created, his ability was neutralized. He was only able to reawaken it after he reabsorbed Xion. So, in a sense yes, in a sense no. Edited May 4, 201213 yr by AJTREY
May 4, 201213 yr But he can still do it, as it was shown once. And I quoted you because I was talking to you, correcting your information in regards to the concepts of the heart Technically, Sora lent him his power for that moment. So.... it still involves the concept of multiple hearts. Also, khwiki.net isn't necessarily a reliable source, since anyone can edit it. Edited May 4, 201213 yr by Sky Heart
May 4, 201213 yr Technically, Sora lent him his power for that moment. So.... it still involves the concept of multiple hearts. But Roxas doesn't have a heart. Unless you're willing to go against Canon? Nobody- they don't exist. And technically, Ventus gave him the power, not Sora. Actually, now that I think about it, Roxas only wields the keyblade because of Ventus. He would not have otherwise.

Actually, now that I think about it, Roxas only wields the keyblade because of Ventus. He would not have otherwise. Dude, Nomura has confirmed that Ven's heart was inside Roxas during Day, BUT he is Sora's Nobody. He has Ven's Heart and Sora's "Body" and so technically he is made of both and therefore he was able to dual wield. -___________- Alright let me rephrase it, to dual wield you need the influence of two powers of the ability to wield a Keyblade, whether it's your own plus another's or completely borrowed from two others. Technically Roxas never had the power, it was all borrowed. When Sora lost Ven's heart he gained the ability to wield the Keyblade by himself. And when Xion was put into Roxas, Xion being an imperfect replica of Sora and made of the memories of Kairi gave him the power to Dual Wield. Sora can Dual Wield because of his heart and Ven's heart that was returned to him in the events of Days. And... Yes, most Nobodies don't have hearts. But in 3D, it was clearly stated one can grow a heart if they have the capacity or host another's heart, which Xehanort has been doing to the vessels of his 13 selves, the 13th slot currently unfilled. So, yes at the time Roxas didn't have a heart, but he was feeling emotions because Ven's heart was inside him. Xion could feel emotions because she was a replica, not a Nobody. Actually, now that I think about it, Roxas only wields the keyblade because of Ventus. He would not have otherwise. Roxas always had that potential xion awoken the abiltity already in him she only siphoned of one key which was sora (Which is why sora would have been unable to wake had she absorbed roxas). Incident with xion has stirred emotion within roxas which stems from Ventus's heart this is the most probable reason for Ven's keyblade being awoken after xion was absorbed. In the end Roxas is able use two keyblades. Is this because he now has Xion’s? Nomura: Well, it isn’t that Roxas has physically inherited Xion’s keyblade, but more that Xion has awakened it within Roxas. In the KH series there are a lot of complex reasons why someone can use a keyblade, but basically you need a “heart” to be able to wield one. So strictly speaking, they are being influenced by Sora. At the present I can’t say more than that, since it would go into whether or not Roxas has a heart. And there is also a part that has to do with Xehanort’s memories. This time there were connections to the Kingdom Hearts I secret movie, and the time will come when this will have a clear connection as well. You’ll just have to ask me then. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/943347-kingdom-hearts-birth-by-sleep/57971099?page=1
May 4, 201213 yr tutti frutti. I would think that Mickey would have that ability to dual wield. Riku was able to produce another Keyblade, on top of already having Way to the Dawn, in order to allow Kairi to defend herself in KH2. This gave me the thought that Riku would naturally have that ability as well. In different cutscenes, Mickey has been shown using two different Keyblades throughout the series. Due to how Riku was able to generate a second Keyblade for Kairi in KH2, I would think that Keyblade wielders would more or less have that same ability should it be a fighting that is their preference. From what I understand, Sora is able to use the Keyblade due to Ven, which in turn allowed Roxas and Xion to use the Keyblade. Ignoring Sora's drive forms in KH2, why should there by requirements for a Keyblade wielders to dual wield as their preference, especially from what Riku had showed?

When he absorbed Xion her death awakened the ability from memories bc of Ven . This is confirmed and the link posted above shows this . Sora duel wields bc of his own keyblade and Vens . The clothes merely awaken the ability Sora has and draws his inner potential .( Vens heart and keyblade.) Read the interviews bc you got it all wrong . Edited May 4, 201213 yr by axel_lea_lives_on

The links been posted to this interview a billion times and the interviews are all archived on this site .Get with the program and learn to firetrucking read already. Why do you think Sora still wields after becoming a heartless / walking heart and Roxas was formed? . Vens heart was in Soras Nobody ,Roxas . Yet Sora still wields his own keyblade all the way from the end of KH1 till the end of CoM when hes put to sleep. This stuff shouldnt be hard to figure out .

That makes no sense what so ever he never physically met riku or sora until the end of the game(he merely contacted their hearts directly he did not know who they were speceifically just that they had the power sufficient of a wielder). Plus why would he give up his only weapon if he needed it to use in the ROD to find Kingdom Key D. It has been confirmed that Sora wields his own keyblade and ventus's keyblade. In the end Roxas is able use two keyblades. Is this because he now has Xion’s? This time there were connections to the Kingdom Hearts I secret movie, and the time will come when this will have a clear connection as well. You’ll just have to ask me then. Why can Roxas dual-wield? A: Because he can use both Sora’s and Ventus’ keyblades. Sora can wield two keyblades at once because he has Ventus’ as well as his own. As Roxas is a part of Sora, he also can use two. In Days Roxas awakened his ability to dual wield after fighting Xion. In KHII once Sora absorbs him, he can also dual-wield. It's also confirmed that he was destined to wield one form birth, taking in ventus's heart only sped up the process of him getting one. The whole time during chain of memories Sora was using his own keyblade without ven's heart that alone is proof that he can wield without Ven's heart. It is stongly implied by nomura that a part of Terra's heart resided in him during the time the SOD resided inside his heart which is most likely why Riku could summon two Keyblades. In "KHI", the robed man, Ansem the Wise's apprentice Xehanort's Heartless (the body of Xehanort's Heartless before he inhabited Riku's body), appeared on the Destiny Islands. Is this because it was Master Xehanort's homeworld? Nomura: That may be one reason, but if he somehow had some of Terra's memories, we can consider that it might be because he had laid eyes on Riku previously. In terms of the elements of Terra and Master Xehanort, I think the questions of how their power is related and divided, as well as who has whose memories and heart, will become a key to the story* after this one. Is that to say that there's a possibility that within Xehanort's Heartless, the darkness that sleeps in Riku's heart, there might remain something of Terra...? Nomura: That's also a riddle connected to the next story,* so everyone please use your imagination. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/943347-kingdom-hearts-birth-by-sleep/57971099?page=1 As for Mickey Keyblade that used during BBS might not have necessarily been his to begin with it most likely was Yen Sid's a weilder is allowed to use another's Keyblade as long as they have had the ceromony done and or have the qualities necessary to wield a keyblade. The final battle of kh2 is an example of this in which riku and sora both wield each others keyblades. Please do your reasearch before you imply evryone else does not know what there talking about. Thanks
