I have a bit of an issue, and I need some input to help me make a decision. It seems that I have a soul, which may be quite surprising to anyone who remembers me. This has been causing me problems with this girl.

 

I met her in February and we've been best friends ever since, but I've known that she's liked me more than that the entire time. She's now pushing for us to go out, but there are some problems with that. 1) Her mom is a lunatic, she sent MY mom an email about how appalled she was that my mom was letting me go to the Blood On The Dance Floor concert, and my parents really don't really like her mom or want to be involved with her at all. 2) She lives across town, like 25 minutes away by car. 3) There are 3 other girls I know who, rather than looking for a long term relationship, just want to have a little fun. 4) She is 3 years younger than me.

 

So, take in the pros and cons, and please tell me logically what the best choice would be. Should I go out with her? I'll have to break up with her in two years when I turn 18, and then I'll have to wait for her for three years for HER to turn 18. And I think it would really suck if this relationship DID last that long and then I had to end it.

I think if shes only 13 while you are 16 this age gap might be too much at this time in your lives .Especially if her mom doesnt approve. IMO I'd stick to friendship for now

13's a bit young for you, dude. sorry, but i don't think it would be the best idea to go there, considering that the mom could press charges against you if you were to slip up in anyway. plus, it sounds like she'd be waiting for you to slip up, as well. just my two cents.

Yeah, Ertyx's concerns are the same as mine. Her mom is definitely the biggest problem here.

While pedo is a little harsh considering they are both still minors , a 3 yr gap is a bigger deal bc teens expectations and emotional needs are drastically different in that age gap that could very well make this situation possibly end badly. If you know what i mean .
