Anyway, for anyone who's wondering, the Vandenreich is supposedly a organization whose intentions are to destroy Soul Society. Their leader is codenamed "Buckbeard" by fans so

that's what we'll bucking call him. Bucking problem? The Vandenreich have taken control of Hueco Mundo over the 17 month time span. Kirge Opie, hunting captain of the Jagadarmee is currently fighting Ichigo in Hueco Mundo. He revealed himself to be Quincy and uses abilities that haven't been shown yet. Buckbeard sent him to fight Ichigo and occupy his time. He then uses this as a perfect opportunity to invade Soul Society. Before this a few Vandenreich soldiers killed the Vice Captain and most of squad 1.

 

Who do you think the Vandenreich is? I always assumed Quincy-Hollow hybrid.

 

Tell me what you think about the Vandenreich and the new Thousand Year Blood Arc (5 years).

i thought they were just plain Quincy? that's what the they've been saying. They've been taking arrancar to serve under them until they lose their usefulness, and they seem to look down on them a lot so I doubt there's any hybrids in the mix.

tutti frutti. Basically what animemylove had stated. I usually see them calling themselves quincies, particularly since the guy facing Ichigo has been using a number of abilities that Uryu had been using throughout the series, for example using the ability that Uryu had when he equipped the glove his grandfather gave him, except the guy that Ichigo faced was on a higher scale. But nonetheless, I do remember them calling themselve Quincies.

I third. They are quincies. But how it's going so far is predictable.

ichigo and the others will probably team up with the arrancars, who they 17 months ago fought against, Uryu will probably have to choose a side and then some how the soul reapers will win.

Nom nom nom. I highly doubt SS will win without a fight. And Yamamoto's death at this point is inevitable.

I think it is interesting that they are finally using the Quincies like this, they were talked about as being the biggest rivals of the soul reapers so it is cool to see how this will develop especially since Ishida is so intertwined with the soul reapers now.
