For anyone who doesn't have coded or simply forgot, the Digital Worlds are the worlds inside of Jimminy's Journal. The worlds if I'm not mistaken are Destiny Islands, Traverse Town, Wonderland, Olympus Collisiem, Agrabah, Castle Oblivion. These are all the worlds in coded but not in Jimminy's Journal. What if the Digital Worlds expanded to having Neverland, Monstro, Atlantica, and Halloween Town? Maleficent wants these worlds to bring her Heartless army back to life on equal levels with Kingdom Hearts 1 right (her army in KH1>KH2)?

 

If she could get her hands on the Digital Worlds, imagine what she could do? Getting the Digital Worlds just to expand her army of Heartless would just be dumb when she could die a lot more. I could imagine her trying to revive someone or doing something at least meaningful.

 

Yes, her new army of Heartless would further he plans in conquering all worlds but she could do a lot more with the Digital Worlds. Perhaps if she gets back into Disney Castle she'll steal the machine used to create Data Sora along with all of Jiminy's Journal. I could defiantly see this as being part of Kingdom Hearts 3's plot. A catostrophe would occur is she is to get back into Disney Castle, espicially with Master Xehanort's revival strenthening her dark powers (as stated in KH 3D by Yen Sid).

 

With that machine, whatever the hell it is, she could create Digital Versions of the characters. Hell, maybe she'll even create digital versions of The Princesses of Heart and villains. She could also increase her Heartless army tenfold and possibly find a way to control Nobodies.

 

It's quite obvious that Xehanort wants Maleficent to succeed in conquering the worlds, so maybe he'll somehow occupy King Mickey, Riku, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Axel and the gangs time to give Maleficent the perfect oppurtunity to infiltrate Disney Castle and steal the Digital Worlds along with the Digital Machine thing.

 

Why would Maleficent just want the Digital Worlds? Wouldn't it be smarter for her to get ALL of the Digital World's from Jiminy's Journal and the

machine used to create Data Sora? Cosidering Xehanort's tendency to help Maleficent in every important game, I can defiantly see Maleficent aquiring the Digital Worlds, I just want to see her do more with it.

I think the theory is interesting. It may not be used in KH3 with all that is already going on, but it is a large possibility for future games since it is unlikely that they would touch upon the Digital Worlds and her interest in the in Re:Coded and then ignore it entirely.

Maleficent's main goal right now is the Digital Worlds. She won't stop until she gets em'.

Well, there's probably a reason Nomura brouht up th Datascape. While coded may have fulfilled it's role in the story, which originally led me to think that we would never hear of the Datascape anymore, I now think that the Datascape may be playable in KHIII with Data-Sora as a Party member (it would be funny to see what kind of Limit two Soras would bring out).

Actually, I think that KHIII will include every original world from the series except End of the World (unless they pull a good excuse for this one. Maybe they would merge it with the World that Never Was).

I highly, 100% agree with you on this. All the original worlds should be in Kingdom Hearts III.

Though this was posted at 2012, this "digital worlds" theory has a lot of ground to the use of The Book of Prophecies. Both conjure up things that have yet to exist. The difference is, one is a holographic illusion and the other is a magical illusion, Maybe Maleficent would revive the fellow Disney villains through The Book of Prophecies?

Well, it's clear that Maleficent and Pete will be up to no good again in Kingdom Hearts III, and this theory of yours is quite the good way to go!  They'll probably want to attain the Datascape, and when you pair that with the Book Of Prophecies that they want to find, just think of the disaster that'd cause!  That'd definitely be another threat Sora and the gang would have to confront!
