I just found this out yesterday so I might as well say it now.

 

The term herpderp originated from people looking at pictures of mentally and physically handicapped individuals and making fun of them by saying the word. I'm disappointed in myself for not realizing this sooner but unless you want to be labeled as an ableist, don't use the term 'herpderp'.
