The United States of America controls the indisputably most elite fighting forces the world has ever seen. Recruits must endure weeks of grueling training, learning how to fight. In the end, even if they survive boot camp and don't quit, many are still not accepted. These soldiers give their time, their bodies, their families, and sometimes even their lives to serve the rest of us. They are some of the most honorable men and women ever made. Because to become part of them, no matter the service, you cannot be born perfect. You will be made into something better.
The soldiers are equaled by their civilian leaders in the government. Those who serve in public office often have the burden of deciding how to use their superior military. They know the secrets uncovered on terrorist plots and the like that only a handful of people are ever permitted to know, and they have the lives of innumerable soldiers resting on their shoulders. One wrong decision, and they could end a brave soldier's career or life.
There is no doubt that to be a part of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, or a government leader is a responsibility that many people could not handle. Can you?
You:
After raiding Osama bin Laden's house, a huge collection of future terror plot plans has been uncovered. Your commanding or intelligence officer (depending on your profession) informs you that as SEAL Team 6 arrived, to hide it from the soldiers, bin Laden attempted to burn a file. The SEALs stamped out the flames and recovered the remains of the charred file.
As it was analyzed later, it was discovered that the file contained all of the details of a terror plot that could cripple the power grid and send America into the Middle Ages, and giving it no chance to ever recover. But too much of the file was destroyed, and all you know is that the attack will begin in one week, originating in Austin, Texas, and Los Angeles, California. You are being deployed to one of the following locations, and you have one week to figure out what's going on and save your homeland.
Note:
You really don't have to be a military/political expert. If there's something you don't understand, ask in the group PM. (I will send out a PM including all members of the RP so we can discuss everything). Or just Google it.
Character Sheet: I'd like to have (but don't limit yourself to my list--do whatever you would have the most fun with.)
-One player as President and one as Vice President (NOT Obama and Biden. Create your own characters.) -One player from each service. (Again, you can do whatever you want. This is just a goal. If someone else is already in the Marines but you want to be in them too, don't hesitate to join.)
President and Vice President Name: Age: Amount of time in office (president and VP must have the same amount): Political Party: Physical Description: Bio:
Soldier: Name: Age (18-30): Rank (you need to be fairly young to be fit enough, so don't go I'M MASTER SERGEANT OF THE MARINE CORPS or something): Physical Description: Bio: Job (I know, not the correct term, but I'm not going to make a huge list of all the MOS. Ex: Military Police, Radio Operator, ect.):
Note: Your weapon (unless you're the President or something) is an M16A2.
Rules: 1) I will not accept anyone who cannot spell properly. It's okay to have a few typos because we all make mistakes, but if there's a typo every other word, I won't accept you. 2) Behave! This may be an RP heavily involving war (but NOTHING over-the-top bloody. We want to keep this between PG and PG-13 because this is a kid's site, guys.) but we can still be nice to each other. (: 3) No godmodding. You are not immortal. 4) If you're going to die, make it spectacular. Also, please let me know first. (: 5) Language is allowed since this is a war-time setting, but don't go nuts. 6) You can create up to 2 characters. 7) Let's have some posts that are thought-out. Not "HE SHOT HIM AND WE WON AND BOOM YAY!" A paragraph at least, preferably more.
If I forgot anything or you'd like to propose any sort of changes, let me know!
