Message sent from the Secretary of the Navy, the Honorable Ray Mabus, to the Honorable President Effein.

Dear President Effein,

I've just gotten the official troops asignments concerning the terrorist plot from Pentagon officials. We have decided to call on more than one branch of our fantastic military. I was told I check my email more often than the other Secretaries, so it is an honor to be able to present you with the assignments. We're keeping it small.

Los Angeles Team (Los Angeles Operation Save Team. LACOST.)

-Corporal Ramirez (Army)

-Corporal Racinez (Marine Corps)

-Airman First Class Coulton (Air Force)

Austin Team (Austin Operation Save Team. AOST.)

-Senior Airman Shaw (Air Force)

-Lance Corporal Sanchez (Marine Corps)

-Sergeant Banks (Marine Corps)

Sincerely, Ray.

OOC:

we will begin where all of the characters have just boarded the military transport helicopters that will fly them to their seperate work sites. They teammates are meeting for the first time. The President will greet them before they take off.

Corporal Martin Ramirez was waiting by the transport helicopter for the other two guys that were assigned to the L.A. team. 'Where are these guys? The sooner they arrive, the sooner we can get on with our assignment.' thought Corporal Ramirez. Corporal Ramirez then started pacing, he wasn't known for his patience, but was well known for his skills on the field. 'I just hope these guys aren't as cocky as half the guys i fought with, they won't last a day otherwise.' thought Ramirez. Ramirez started going through a quick run-through of the mission to himself. 'Okay, so, our mission is to patrol L.A. for suspicious activity....shouldn't be to hard, barring any unforeseen hazards.' thought Ramirez. "Okay, where in blazes are these guys?" Ramirez asked out loud, really getting tired of waiting.

Emma Banks was prepared for her sixth deployment. She expected to be flown to Iraq or Afghanistan again, so it caught her off guard when her commanding officer briefed her on a mission to Texas. She hadn't mentally prepared herself yet for any sort of homefront mission. Emma couldn't identify the helicopter before her, so it must not have been used by the Marines. She heard footsteps behind her, which was a miracle in itself considering the deafening roar of the helicopter. A pilot lounged in the cockpit, obviously not to concerned with his mission. Then again, all he was doing was dropping three soldiers into Texas. He had probably flown missions a thousand times more dangerous. Emma wondered if anyone had mentioned to him that this wasn't any routine training op. That for once, the insane scenarios were real. She turned to the sound of footsteps, where she saw two men, one in Air Force fatigues, the other in familiar Marine Corps desert-patterned digiflauge. In the dim morning light, that was all she could make out. Over the roar of the helicopter, she shouted to them, "Hey! Are you here for AOST?"

Chase was being briefed and couldn't believe what was happening, he had never thought of his home to be attacked, he had always just pictured fighting over seas, never fighting on homeland.

Chase could feel the pressure, he remembered his parents back home and his one brother. His brother had died honorably fighting over in Afghanistan but it made his parents worried about losing another child to the cause. But they also understood he was helping whether they liked it or not. Chase's briefing was finished and he knew his mission. He stepped outside seeing two Helicopters he noticed a woman standing by one thinking that must be Sergeant Banks.

Chase stood in front of her and held salute position. "Chase Sanchez reporting in" Chase said still holding position.

Jesus walked through the Air Force building as it was just another normal day in the field for him. He did all his normal dutys. Check up on the jet fighters. Then listen to the radio to see if any important news came up, but then again, there's important news everyday. At last, he was going to check the new recuits that were going to come in, but his boss called him in the briefing room. He walked inside the room. He saw a table with a map of the world on it, computers and radios all around him, and his boss in front of the table.

'' You needed me sir?'' asked Jesus as he showed his respect by putting his right hand on his forehead. The only thing his boss did was throw a folder with papers inside it. Jesus opened it and examined the papers. Jesus looked up from the papers.'' Is this really true?'' was all Jesus could say. His boss nodded and raised his hand to his forehead. Jesus then did the samething as he left the room heading off.

Jesus finished thinking back to what got him here. He saw two other people at the helicopter. He ran towards them. He panted a bit. He then saluted them.'' Senior Airman Shaw reporting. I believe we are the only three people heading towards Texas?'' he asked as he boarded the copter ready to save his homeland.

Emma smiled and saluted. "I'm Sergeant Banks." It startled Emma to realize this was her entire squad. Only two? Well, that presented both a challenge and a break. "I've never had a squad this small before." She took her seat on the helicopter, setting her eighty pound pack in front of her. She looked up to see Shaw. "Hey, you're a flyboy." What was Air Force protocol? She wasn't sure how the ranks balanced out compared to the Marine Corps. "I haven't done my inter-service work yet. I don't know much about the Air Force." Just as Emma finished her sentence, the pilot flipped on the intercom and announced, his voice barely audible, "It'll be forty-five minutes to Texas." That short? How fast did this thing fly? "At least there's one other jarhead here. Anybody know where the other crew is headed to? Aren't they taking the President along or something?"

Markus stepped out onto the tarmac. His men bustled around him and he began to walk to the nearby hanger, everything was moving casually, as casual as could be said for the military. The only outstanding points at the moment was the presence of such high officials. He was sure this base didn't often get a visit from the President. Not to mention all the DoD officials. But besides the caliber of the men present, nothing seemed outstanding. The amount of men in the hanger wasn't a lot. Markus preferred it that way, he was happy to see they were keeping this briefing small. He was minutes from his flight to L.A. He would be going with the 3-man save team that was hopefully going to be able to stop all this. Well, along with the team headed to Texas.

"Mr. President, you've read the letter from the Secretary of the Navy?" Jonathon Marco, Secretary of Defense, was being especially formal today.

"Yes, I've seen Ray's report. Three-person teams deployed to Austin and Los Angelos. We've got drone support? Other field agents?"

"Yes sir, we've got an array of field assets for the teams to use."

"Good, I'll be attending the Economic recovery summit in L.A. and afterward the commend center several miles out, right?"

"Yes, we can't afford you to be in the area of Los Angelos if-"

"I know Jon, I've got it"

Markus walked through the array of quickly-set-up computer consoles where technicians were working on all sorts of things related to the upcoming operation. He turned to Jon.

"What's the status on the team for L.A.?"

"Still waiting on two of them sir."

"Do we have the setup with the Austin team?"

"Right this way sir."

Markus followed Jon to a large television setup, on the other side was the inside of a helicopter being prepped, in the final stages in fact. Markus walked up to the TV. A small camera relayed everything in his hanger to the laptop on the other side of the line. He was told several times that a parting remark to the Austin operations team was not needed, but he insisted. The soldiers were in the helicopter on the other side of the line. He looked over at Jon.

"We're all set up to go?" He asked.

"Yes sir, please make it brief." Jon replied tersely.

Markus turned back to the screen with the soldiers.

"Airman Shaw, Corporal Sanchez, Sergeant Banks, it's an honor to have such fine service members as yourself undertaking this task. Few others could do as you are about to do."

Markus gave them a pause to reply.

Ryan was walking on the tarmac, towards the two helicopters. He had recently been briefed on what was going on and what he was going to do. He hadn't been able to believe a word at first. An attack on american lines? This had been the one thing Ryan had never prepared for. Apparently, he had been chosen to go to Los Angeles to make sure whats supposedly was going, didn't. He looked up as he neared the two helicopters. For a moment he was shocked to see the president. Then he remembered, President Effein was going with them to L.A. But first, it seemed that he was talking to the Austin team first. He walked over to the other helicopter, which he assumed was the one destined to L.A. He saw another man and put out his hand to be shaken. "Corporal Ryan Racinez, at your service. What's your name?" he spoke to him. The man seemed kind of angry, Ryan hoped he hadn't been keeping him too long.

"Damn, I'm late." thought Frederic as get to the base. He was pretty nervous. A mission in L.A.? He never went that far. "Presenting for duty, sire" he said as he saluted the president. "firetruck! I am the latest..." he thought as he saw both of his companions on the chopper while saluting the president. Each step he walked to the helicopter was a sweat drop dripping on his neck. Ok, he was very nervous. Entered the chopper and talked to his friend, trying to not look so afraid. Far from home, he took from his backpack a picture of his family. The wind blow on his face as he said goodbye to this land...
