Hi, sexy people. Firaga here.

So, a while ago, I did a thread called "Guilty Pleasures: TV Shows" where I revealed, as well as others, that I liked some TV shows that are either complete crap or just frowned upon by most people. I even admitted why I like these shows.

Now, in this installment of GP, we'll be discussing, you guessed it, video games that we enjoy, even though they are bad or deemed bad.

I have a long list of games, as it turns out, so I'll only give you the top 3.

1. Stuart Little 2: Yes. In a galaxy far, far away known as 2002, where I was just a mere 6 years old, I got this game, thinking it would be as cool as the movie. Hell, even at age 10 I was playing that damn thing. I now realize, like most movie-licensed games....it was kinda bad. And poorly done. Not as bad as movie games today...but really, why?

2. Spider-Man - The Movie: OMG, I can't tell you how much time I wasted on that thing. Even when I was using cheat codes and shit, I REGRET buying that game. I thought it sucked even back then! http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/sleep.png The best thing I can say about this game is that the opening animation and the ending credits are good. Wait...If I thought it sucked back then, then why is it here? Because I was dumb enough to enjoy it for a certain amount of time.

3. Sonic & The Secret Rings: http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/sleep.png Of all the crappy Sonic games I had to choose...shit, I don't even wanna explain it. Bad show. VERY bad show.

So, yeah, I played through this crap. What about you guys? Leave your games below.

P.S. I know I'm not helping the whole "Most people hate this stuff, but I like it anyway" part of this thread, and I apologize. It's just easier for me to point out the crap games from the crapped-on games, in my case. You know what I mean? Because really, the only times I've played bad games is when I was younger and didn't really understand quality as much as I do now. But even so....if you like a game that most people do not like, the chance to express your opinion is here. No one is gonna judge. Not even me.

1. Lolipop Chainsaw-At times, Juliet's character makes me ashamed that I like this game. But, the story, gameplay, and music are just all so amazing. That and she's pretty damn hot.

2. Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City: I love these games, but I've never been a huge fan of Batman. In fact, I've never seen any of the movies or read any of the comics. I think maybe I watched the 90s animated series when I was a kid, but I'm not sure. I feel a bit guilty that I love these games when I barely know anything about Batman's story, except the basics.

Not exactly the vibe I look for...but understandable. Thanks.

1.) I really like The Sims, not just so I can murder them all.

Most of my friends only like it because they can play the "God" role and kill anyone they want, but I genuinely like it. It helps me relax a little bit, or sometimes I play it just because I like making my own characters.

2.) Super Monkey Ball is good fun. I like it, even though it's usually deemed as a "kids' game." Some of those levels are pretty firetruckin' hard, man.

3.) Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I just rediscovered it the other day, and I surprisingly still find it really awesome (even if most of the game is fetch-quests and backtracking). Paper Mario games still have a nice appeal, for whatever reason.

I don't understand why people say force unleashed is bad. It's not amazing, but I'd say it's a decent game.

I didn't find it bad. The combat was good.

Sonic the hedgehog 2006...

Yup.

  • 5 months later...

Sims 2 and 3. Though I uninstalled 2 a while ago. Experiment with secret functions.... Witches... Fairies... Vampires... Lots...

I don't think I ever played a bad game.

Oh wait, I played E.T. for the GBC -.-

Let's see.

Enchanted arms is one. I hear bad things about it but I actually luv it xD

Onimusha Warlords also makes that list. Can't think of any others.

Yoshi's Cookie:  This game is, honestly, not the greatest in the world.  But I just loved it.  Matching up weird-looking cookies to old retro music...loved it. :D

Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus:  One simple phrase: the storyline was good.  Gameplay sucked, admittedly, but I'm a fan of Vincent so I overall enjoyed the game.

Mario is Missing:  It was awful, and I can totally see that now, but I was desperate at eight years old.  And we all know desperate people (namely kids) do desperate things....hehe.
