(First off, you'll find out everything you need to know about me from my profile. My poems are going to come fairly regularly. That's pretty much it.)

 

 

There is no poem I can write,

That won't cause pain or sorrow,

I've felt nothing but the two since that night,

When my heart she did borrow.

 

I gave my heart out that hour,

She seemed to care for me,

Two years later that love turned sour,

I was too blind to see.

 

Then the fateful night came,

When we had our talk,

She left and I took the blame,

My heart brittle as chalk.

 

I don't want pitty,

I don't want love,

I want to leave this city,

And see the mountains above.

 

Above my fear,

Above my sorrow,

But maybe I'll stay here,

Until tomorrow...

It's dry as a desert outside,

The ground is dead and so am I,

Buried in the sand I try to hide,

All the signs of rain are a lie.

 

My ground is cracking,

The wells are drying up,

Because its water we're lacking,

Don't waste one cup!

 

Life is hard when your crops are down,

But you do the best you can with what you've got,

Even if almost all is dead and brown,

Why does it have to be so damn hot?

 

What did we do to deserve this heat,

Maybe it's all these new ideals,

Maybe someone didn't call Jesus neat,

Maybe it's all our fast food meals...

 

We're all in such a damn rush,

That the water and God can't catch up with us,

Let's just sit down and hush,

Lest we resort to throwing a cuss.

 

Man I really wanna know what's gone wrong,

Why the water seems to never come,

It's been forever so damn long,

The weather man has become a lazy bum!!

 

All he does is sit and say it's dry and hot,

Bring the floods God and make him say its not!!

The world's gone dark and cold,

The lights are all slowly dying,

I'll be in constant pain until I'm old,

Never going to stop my crying.

 

Why do you hate me?

I asked the world today,

The world replied 'Don't you see?'

'The answer is plain as day!'

 

'You've got no love in your heart,

No soul to your name,

You tear other hearts apart,

and you've only yourself to blame.'

 

I stood in shock at what I'd heard,

It was all so clear and that's when I knew,

There was truth in every word,

So my heart turned an icy blue.

 

I'll shut myself up and hide,

I will never step out of here,

Because nobody will be at my side,

That's ok I don't need anyone near...

I'm not rotten enough to be that guy,

I've thrown too many people around,

I just want a chance to catch your eye,

I saw you sitting alone today,

I felt like it was my time to try,

I felt this poem was the way,

But I'm so nervous I could die...

 

Remember last night we we talked,

You said you loved someone,

And away I walked?

I wanted to be the only one...

 

I've wanted to be yours for a while,

I just haven't been able to say it,

I just can't help but shut up and smile,

But not today I quit...

 

I love you with all my heart and soul,

Forget everything wrong with my life,

You're my one and only goal,

You take away my pain and strife...

 

I just want a yes or no,

I don't have enough time for a game,

So tell me to stay or go,

But either way our friendship stays the same...

 

If you get tired of hearing me blab about love,

It's ok I understand,

But remember that you're my angel above,

And I'm nothing but sand...

 

So with all my love and good intentions,

With all my strength and soul,

I ask for your love as this poem mentions,

And help my half heart become whole.

Hahaha!!

My legs are moving at a faster pace,

Sprinting away from my strife,

I'm in an all too familiar race,

It's a race for my life.

 

Nobody is there beside me,

There's a thousand beasts at my back,

Just when I think it's the finish line I see,

It just moves and moves until I crack.

 

I want to give in please God let me win!

But the path just goes further down,

The beasts move on in,

All my friends turn their backs with a frown.

 

But then I go faster,

Fear and anger drive me,

I will not let them be my master,

I'll win and they'll let me be.

 

So I pound down on the path,

Moving faster than they ever dreamed,

You don't have to do the math,

Those beasts are going to get creamed.

 

I cross the finish and throw my hands in the air,

But then I wake up alone in bed,

It was all a dream, I was never there,

And now I'm here with the beasts instead.

 

I never escaped the ghouls,

I'll never be free,

Everyone who thinks I can are fools,

Because the beasts are inside me....

Three questions I'll never want again,

Three questions that will make anyone blush,

Where these questions begin,

Faces always flush.

 

First the simplest of these,

Do you think this makes me look fat?

The answer is one of ease,

But there is no good way of answering that.

 

Next is one that comes out every week or so,

Do you think she looks better than me?

The answer is always supposed to be no,

I just don't see why you can't put it to memory.

 

The third comes from my sister,

Where do babies come from?

Would you please answer for me mister??

My heart always pounds like a two ton drum.

 

Well my sister you came from a goat,

Well it was obvious she thought it was a sham,

When the words 'how's that' came from her throat,

So I always get stuck and then BAM!!!

 

The answer to my prayers come for each,

A distraction that never fails me to this day,

I just look around and for mirrors in reach,

And say 'you're the most beautiful girl wouldn't you say?'

 

They always giggle and smile at me,

While I silently sigh in relief,

These questions should let me be,

That my bros is a statement of belief.

 

That you can use this line anytime,

It'll save your butt like no tomorrow,

The rest of the day will be sublime,

And if not you need some time to borrow...

 

Because that question will just keep on coming,

Till you have a more than excellent reason,

Don't just sit there with your nose thumbing,

Use the line again with a hint of some please'n

 

If she don't take flattery...

It's not meant to be,

Just hope she don't resort to battery,

If she does don't blame me...
