Yes to both of your questions, yes, you can still use all of your original Characters and yes, you don't have to redo all of their Old Characters Sheets, however, the story must first be set in Treasure Town and nowhere else, you know like how you spend both 3 days in Kingdom Hearts on the Destiny Islands and 6 days in Kingdom Hearts II in Twilight Town? well, the Prolouge will last for exactly 9 days in Treasure Town, no more, no less.
