• Did they revisit their friends: Selphie, Tidus and Wakka?
• Did they attend school?
• Did Sora even bother to acknowledge his parents?

Where have you confiermed a year has gone by? It was my impression this all happens rather quickly after KHII? It couldnt have takin that long for Mickey and the others to analyse the data...I figured maybe a month or two. Cause its my impression DDD takes place almost right after KHII.

It didn't take a year between KH2's ending and by the time Mickey's letter arrived. More like a few hours or such.

I think both Sora and Riku's parents were all crying in tears upon seeing their children alive and well after the storm of the Destiny Islands.

I remember some scenes where Kairi had a school uniform-like outfit in KH2, perhaps she attended school?

I'd hope for 1, 2, & 4, but I'd like for that time during after KH2 & before coded to be summer vacation. Not that I like being in summer vacation anymore, but, that is what I want to happen.

It was definitely more the latter.

There is no way coded was more then two months. With that being said I would imagine they would have attended to their norm lives even if it was only for a short while.
