So i have been wondering about Vanitas appearance in DDD. At the end of Birth By Sleep ven defeats vanitas. So why exactly did sora see vanitas. Is it that vanitas returned to ventus heart which is locked away in sora for protection would that mean vanitas is inside sora as well? Or possibily he did what Ven did with sora hide his heart within Xeahnort. Especially Now that we know about the thirteen darknesses. Could Vanitas be a part of them. tell me what you think.

Yes, I do...which makes me want to know why Travers Town didn't have any nobodies. Heck one of the first scenes in KHI is a heartless taking a guys heart from his chest RIGHT in front of Sora. Plot Hole.

Xemnas was lieing to them, they didn't know they were growing hearts. They honestly truly believe they were heartless and the only way to get it back was Kingdom Hearts.

Plus, the two of them you don't have *that* much interaction with until the end. I suppose it kills (/shotshotshot) the drama of Axel's death knowing he comes back. Saix was more of the right hand man to the Organization while Xigbar is the right hand man to Xehanort overall.

I wonder why Sora himself doesn't look like Ven, seeing as Ven's heart had taken shelter in Sora's heart once before, when he was very young/just born. it was ven's heart AFTER vanitas had been removed as well. I also want to know where Ventus originated from, seeing as MX abandonded him in the land of departure.

 

Soras heart was in his body thats why . Vens heart was the broken one healing .So Soras heart is dominant

Yes but they were mentioned ,even if ever so slightly . The full plot for 2 was made later so there are hints and mentions but no storyline about nobodies yet.

Answering the topic's question, Nomura stated on a interview that Vanitas's appearance was caused because Ven's heart reacted within Sora, making him apppear. Also, I hope he comes back as one of the darkness, it'd be cool to see Sora meet Vanitas and Ventus. They'd be like "WTF?"

Of the "plot". As in the Organization, their quest, and all that. The retcons in this game ruined the drama of it.

 

I don't see how 3d retconded KH2, since when does the big bad not use others to further his own gain?

Vanitas is a part of Ventus' heart, therefore he is a part of Sora's heart. The appearance of Vanitas was a dormant memory of Ventus triggered by young Xehanort. However, it is likely that he will become the 13th darkness. Xehanort was probably trying to extract Vanitas from Sora's heart. Plus, he didn't die in Birth by Sleep. Yen Sid said that Ventus' heart was hanging between light and darkness which hints that they're having an internal fight like Terra and Xehanort were.

vani only appeared since ven's heart was reacting to YX's darkness. it only reminded Ven of Vanitas. 

Ansem and Xemnas are two of the 13. Both have been destroyed in the past, so I see no reason that Vanitas can't be in KH3. Xehanort just needs to time travel to a time where he's alive.

Master Xehanort put a part of himself in Vanitas I believe so he can time travel and get him. As is the reason for them iconic orange eyes.
