Really? I thought it was affected by Magic Haste.

I know reload does but reload effects all things. I was curious if magic might while one's HP isn't in peril.

Ya It does since cure is a magic command and it's actually really significant.

Cure's reload speed increases with Magic Haste, and Reload Boost increases the speed of all commands when your HP is critical.

Yeah, Frootz Cat is OP because it maxes out all your hastes while giving you support and reload boost. Because of this, I was able to constantly spam Ars arcanum, Salvation, Faith, Shadowbreaker, and Curaga on Sora, pretty much without having to wait for the commands to load after the cycle was finished.

I see, thank you for hte confirmation everyone. Just wondering if I really want to work through the hassle of switching my party set to upgrade from Cura to Curaga. I've stayed on Cura namely due to it heals a fair amount without taking a long time to reload and also because, even at end game I still haven't really needed Curaga. With a defense of 8-9 I'm just contemplating if I'll ever really need to fully heal myself.

I find Riku gets his ass kicked fairly easily near the end of the game. I don't know if I just didn't have the right stat boosts (even though I had 2/3 def and 3/5 HP boosts) I didn't even use Sacrifice on him, his HP just gets torn through. Because of this, I actually had him equipped with two Curagas at end game, and full Magic Haste.

The thing that has me contemplating this that i don't know if curaga will save me from is

Ansem SoD Form 1. No one really considered him to be hard but being level 1 on critical mode I learned he bypasses once more and since I'm capped on HP until after I can even beat the game if I get caught in his barrier dash I may not survive enough to get a chance to heal anyway.

I set Riku up with both Cura and Curaga. Cura reloads faster while giving me a good amount of HP, while Curaga's practically a full-heal for when things are getting bad.

 

Use both.

I think I have this battle down after probably over an hour of learning my mistakes (I'm a stubborn one who likes his challenges and am still on one cura). Assuming I am right about my mistakes this is still going to take a long time unless I can get a reality shift. OTL
