Is it realistic to think that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released on the PS3? I mean it seems like next-gen consoles will arrive soon, the KH team is still working on Versus XIII, and major KH titles take about 4-5 years... I just wanted to see what anyone else thinks, I believe development on KH3 will be moved over to next-gen consoles.

It would be pretty much a waste if KH3 is released on PS4 since Versus 13 is the game that Square is trying to figure out the PS3 with(so KH3 can be the awesome game it should be).

Fans will be PISSED if they release it on the PS4

I would be okay with it, but I feel like the game wouldn't be as good as it could be since Square would have to get use to a new system all over again, plus what Rob said.

Hm, i have to find it, but I think Nomura said something about it taking too long if they went ahead to the next generation console. Playstation 3 would be perfectly fine. I can't believe a playstation 4 could be here anytime soon already...

Work has began on the PS4, but they won't announce anything til they have truly ground breaking technology to present, but since development is most likely underwraps, I could see (and fear) the game might be released alongside the PS4 (if they have made a lot of progress and just aren't announcing it yet) as one of the opening games. Hopefully they're just at a concept. I hope its not released though. Although I love Sony, I only was able to buy a ps3 the start of this year when i'd been saving up money from my EMA after I got a laptop. I won't be able to just go buy a PS4, thus I wouldn't be able to play the game for a good while (probably years tbh unless I manage to get a job, which I've been failing at).

 

Even sony has said the true ability of the PS3 hasn't been achieved yet, so I think they should take advantage of this and make KH3 on a console people are more likely to have since it's been out 6 years and can be bought (used or new) for around 80-120 quid, whereas the PS4 would be more 400-500 pound mark. I don't have that laying round for one game.

well it would really be a waste of money then :@...KH is great but I've spent more than a thousand and half dollars with the game and buying ps4 just for KH at the moment it is released would be like 600$ :@...+ the game would be 50$ or more since it would be for ps4...nobody will buy it soon
