Our story begins in New York City, the year 2985, half of the state is covered in advanced technology, the other half has been reclaimed by nature and abandoned by those of the city, our story begins when the war has reached it's peak, and the entire military will not seek peace with the creatures.

" STOP FIGHTING GAD DANGIT OR I SWEAR TO GOD I'LL FREAKING BITE ALL OF YOU IDIOTS" she yelled.she stopped running and looked around.she jumped into a bush and curled up hiding herself pretty well." guys just hide they aren't smart enough to look in the trees and bushs" she said.

"Uhhh guys?" I looked at nano and followed her. "Is it always like this?" I whispered.

" yep" she said popping her head out of the bush and smiling.she laughed alittle." we wouldn't have to if they let us live in peace but no humans have to do this every time they see us" nano said shaking her head.

"Oh." I poked my head out as well watching them argue. "I wonder if the humans would kill me, the last of my kind." I thought.

Draco flew into a nearby tree while Felphore jumped into the same tree, and Maelstrom hid in a group of trees to thick to see through. "I really hate these guys, to bad recon mech's don't have operators." Maelstrom said to himself.

nano oulle dher hid back in the bush and waited for them to pass by." don't find us i really don't think any of us want to have to hurt any humans today" she whispered.

"Hey if they are about to attack just say 'wolf' I'll slow down time for you to escape." I said to their minds, it was a weird thing I could do using my ears it would make a thought go though my ears to other people without others hearing.

They had been deployed immediately.

 

Hikari's eyes were glued to the column of black smoke that reached into the clouded sky. It was almost as if it were clawing upward, reaching for help with its dying moments. She caught a glimpse of Bethany Base through the trees, looking down at her lap to escape the view. It wasn't just the silo... half of the base was completely destroyed. The casualty reports hadn't begun filing in yet, but she didn't need to hear the numbers to bring up the sick and twisted feeling in her stomach. Most of the people stationed at Bethany Base were researchers and scientists; good people who didn't deserve to die.

 

The jeep lurched as it hit a pothole, Hikari bracing herself against the door. She looked back, the other two jeeps behind them swerving to avoid the hazard. She still felt removed from the whole thing, like none of this was real. The jeeps sped up as the trail straightened out, forcing their way through the forest. Hikari caught a glimpse of something tearing through the trees in the distance as they sped by. Recon mechs? Could the terrorists still be nearby?

Kim's eyelids are heavy. He yawns heavily. I need to find some shelter. He stretches his back, raising his shoulder blades. Kim's wings sprout out of his back. His shirt rips and falls off. He runs off swiftly and jumps. Suddenly, he felt himself airborne. Kim zoomed through the sky, the breeze going through his hair. His face suddenly felt cool. That tree seems nice... Kim zooms down into the forest below him. He hits the tree, hard. A shock wave shakes all the trees around him. Some fall. But Kim was already fast asleep.

I heard a noise off from the distance wondering if I should go......"I'll be right back." I said racing toward the direction I found a boy sleeping in a tree seeing the wings he must of hit the tree hard. I didn't know what to do but sat there waiting for him to wake up..

Draco flew down next to Maelstrom. "Maelstrom, i've got to take those things down...they may be unmanned, but they can still send video to the human military....the humans already know about the rebels, and if those things find the location...." said Draco.

 

Maelstrom stopped Draco from finishing his sentence. "I know....take those things down, but stay in the shadows....we can't let the humans know that we actually carry weapons with us everywhere." said Maelstrom.

 

"Got it." said Draco. Draco snapped his fingers and two of the recon mech's caught fire, while Draco used his speed in flight to swiftly take down the others. As he did, he saw a few jeeps and figured they would've seen the light reflecting from the sword, but knew he was moving to fast to be seen himself.

I saw Draco fly light speed off in the sky and wonder what he was up to...

Kim finally wakes up, from a healthy eight minute sleep. Wide awake now, Kim decides to fly up, until something catches his eyes. A boy. Kim suddenly gets scared. "Who are you!?" Kim asks loudly. "What do you want!?"

"Whoa....shhhh....there are jeeps from the human military over there." said Draco as he pointed to the jeeps. "Name's Draco, deadliest warrior of the half-breed's, and one of the generals of the rebels...but don't go blabbing that to the humans, we need every fighter to win the inevitable war that's gonna happen." said Draco.

I jumpped back startled by him suddenly waking up and flying away. "I guess he is ok." I thought running back to the others.

Hm. Well, that was suspicious.. Kim thinks to himself. Should I follow him? Kim decides to. He stretches his wings out, flaps them just for testing, and then jumps off of the tree. Kim starts to stalk the person that pursued him, very quietly. The wind blew against Kim's face annoyingly. Let's hope that this guy doesn't see me... Kim bumps into a tree. It falls down violently. Owwww. Kim becomes dizzy for a second and almost falls. Kim regains his balance, and continues to follow.

"What the f- hey, stop!" Hikari reached over the seat, hitting the driver in the back of the head. "I'm getting out. You and the others head for Bethany. I'll catch up in a minute."

 

"But sir, we can't-" She cut him off with a wave of her hand.

 

"Don't forget who you're talking to. I'm our military's greatest weapon, lieutenant." She hissed the rank, jumping out of the vehicle. "Get a move on!" Hikari shouted to the other two jeeps, the convoy moving on without her. She forced her way through the foliage, swearing and hacking at the overgrowth as she went. She barely stopped in time to avoid running into one of the mechs. Hikari climed up onto its leg, examining the machinery. It had been burned, but that wasn't what had destroyed it. Something took a blade to the thing; probably some form of sword. Combine fire with that kind of speed and you get...

 

"Dragons." She sneered, scanning the area. She saw two more downed mechs in her immediate vacinity. No doubt they had suffered the same fate. Hikari jumped down onto the ground, planting her hands on her hips. "Alright, that's enough of this." She shouted into the trees. "Attacking scientists, destroying mechs... and all from the shadows. It's bad enough what you've done, but the fact that you're cowards is just sickening."

I heard the boy following me I thought he flew off, I quickly used Veil of Mist and got away safely.

Draco landed in a nearby tree so Hikari wouldn't see him as he spoke. "We're the cowards....you're the ones who rely on mech's and technology to win, trust me, i've been causing raids since before you were born....i'm 150 for pete sake, and i'm a half-breed, not a full dragon." said Draco.

"So you're a mongrel, just like the rest." Hikari grinned. She didn't bother scanning the trees for the source of the voice. He was here, and that's all that mattered. "And not only that, but you admit to your guilt. You can call them 'raids' all you like, but that will never change the fact that you're a terrorist." She flexed her fingers, feeling the tingle run down her arms. If she could get a good look at this beast, then they would be one step closer to truly identifying their little pest problem.

I stopped and I heard Draco talk to someone, she was blonde and had a black dress but something told me that she was heavy with metal.

"Me the terrorist, please, your kind has been hunting and killing our kind since the dark ages, so, all in all, you're the ones who decided to start the war nowadays....oh, how did your recent meeting with our ambassador go?" asked Draco.

nano laughed slightlywiggling her tail out of the tail." you humans in the city are all alike and people who are like us can't go to school because of you" nano hissed.she slipped her tail back into the bush hissing." oh what i would do to just prove to you all we're not all that bad we can be pieceful and loving as well and you call us terrorist that is coming from the humans who went and killed some many of out kind somewhere kids but you don't care do you" she said.she scrunched up her nose and hissed one last time." how would you like if we went to a school and killed them huh would you cry over them and try to ger us or would you be fine with it" she asked.

I walked behind them and climbed up the tree quietly and saw nano's tail, "Oh so there's her tail, I knew she was a snake but didn't have a tail at first or at least I couldn't see it." I thought, feeling the gentle wind brush through my hair enjoying the moment wagging my tail.

Kira flew over Nano as she watched her carefully. "calm down please. You're hurting my ears." she said softly as she landed on a tree branch in a nearby tree. "yelling won't get you anywhere. Just calm down and relax. It'll be okay." she said, trying her best to comfort Nano. "maybe you're hungry. Here." she said, picking an apple off a leaf and throwing it to Nano. "there good." she said. She sat down and slowly flapped her wings. Feathers fell to the ground.
