When reading a story, playing a game, or writing your own character, what do you prefer your main protaganist to lean more towards: the White Knight, who can be counted on to do the right thing and can be counted on as a good guy, or an Anti Hero, who might be edgier and only does the right thing when and if he feels like it?
I've said this before, but I like it when the good guys are actually good. I'm more inclined to cheer for a guy with virtues who would give his right arm to save someone else than I am for a guy who will only do it for money or reward. I know it's not sexy or cool anymore to actually believe in morals, but there's something undeniably tough and respectable about a guy who saves the world not because he has to, but because it was the right thing to do.

1. Which archtype do you prefer for your protaganists?
