I am making a stand....a stand against my fellow DragonBall fans (not everyone) who put Raditz on the back-burner because he's "the weakest villain int he series, nyeh nyeh nyeh" BULLSHIT!
PILAF is the weakest villan in the series, dammit!
You see, there's a stereotype floatin' around the anime/manga verse, in the shouen section, that says villains who show up in the beginning of the series are dirt compared to the next one, and the next one, and the next one...
This is actually true, especially in DragonBall....
But THAT doesn't excuse the fact that you motherf*ckers out there (not every single DB fan, just the ones I have beef with (you know who you are)) keep CRUCIFYING the crap outta this character.
Now, let me repeat myself again: This is not directed at every other person in the DragonBall fanbase; this is directed at the Raditz haters who take things too far.
Anyways, enough of my ranting...whew, that was explosive (I'll probably have to do it again tomorrow at my anime club, lol), but anyways....
(END OF RANT)
Today, we gather to celebrate a DragonBall villain who, unfortunatly, didn't get enough screen time because the plot needed him dead early on. Despite this, I think he's still a character of great value, regardless of power level...because he, my friends, is the first DragonBall villain is push the series into the "Z" portion of the story, where things got edgier, more serious...and whole lot more badass.
So, I thank you, Raditz. Thanks for giving Goku and Piccolo a run for their money so they'd toughen up for what was gonna come, and thanks for being a solid villan, overall. I'll admit you're no Frieza, but hey, you did as good as you needed to. Maybe even better.
And remember, Raditz fans: "KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BIRDIE!"
"Are you excited? You should be..." - Raditz
(START OF RANT. SKIP IF YOU WANT)
Go ahead.
LAUGH.
I don't give a damn!
