Ugh, KHHD isn't that good of an acronym. Doesn't look as nice as KH3D.

 

Now I'm sure we're all excited for the coming of Kingdom Hearts -1.5 HD ReMIX-, and if you're not, well, what's wrong with you? Beating the ever-loving crap out of Sephiroth with Ars Arcanum in Olympus Coliseum, trying to get enough high-numbered cards so Neoshadows don't repeatedly cut down your health in Castle Oblivion, and watching Roxas cry after Xion dies (;_; ) is sure to be a blast again in high-definition. However, there's the possibility that Square Enix might go George Lucas on us and change some things for this re-release, so to speak.

 

Let me through some possibilities out there. In KH1, Haley Joel Osment was just a wee lad, so Young Sora's voice was rather high-pitched. In the recent games, due to Osment becoming a man, Young Sora in KH3D and Re:CoM sounds older. Could Square redub Sora's lines in this HD game to make it match (and also so it's not out of place with the remastered Re:CoM, which is also in the collection)? As well, there's the whole deal with Billy Zane originally voicing Ansem in KH1, and being replaced by Richard Epcar in the latter installments -- could the latter over-record the former's voice in this new rendition? After all, for the KH1 flashbacks in the beginning of KH2, Epcar performed Ansem's voice, not Zane. There's also the whole Tarzan debate. Will Deep Jungle make the jump to HD? Who knows...

 

But why focus on stuff that will be changed/removed? Things can be added too! Wouldn't it be great if more secret bosses were introduced to the game? What about another secret ending that hints to KH3 - perhaps this one done in CGI?

The only thing I'd like to see is the lip syncing redone in Re: CoM and changing the camera of KH1 to something that doesn't suck ass. Other than that, I'm pretty much good.

they arent Remakes lol they will be the same game with higherquality graphics and trophies, i mean there might be slight fixes because of bugs but there really wont be any changes

If they replace Billy Zane's voice, they will do the game a disservice. I wouldn't be surprised if fans actually riot if they do that.

 

I really don't see Squeenix going to the trouble of re-dubbing. Seems like it would be more work than they are willing to put in (seeing as they didn't want to completely re-do Days, which would have benefited more than KHI and Re:CoM*).

 

*I realize remaking an entire game takes far more effort than re-recording voices, but it seems like they would want to put in as little effort as possible, in order to maximize profits.

Get x amount of trophies. Get kh3 secret ending. I like the sound of that...

 

I don't think they'd really change much at this point, although we are going to get final mix content, which is a plus. Hopefully they'd do something about the camera. I am curious about whether or not they'll redub...I feel like it would ruin Kh1 for me It's just, I really liked Sora's cute squeaky voice back then, and it was the only game we got to have it...there's nothing wrong with his voice now, I mean puberty happens, but still...and some of the more classic lines just wouldn't sound as good. idk. It probably won't really matter.

 

And oh gosh, Ansem's voice! I honestly sort of preferred the one from the first one...but the newer one is fine too, its actually not that different. Deep Jungle is a good point, I hope they can still use it...I personally loved that world. I've only recently figured out that you can do the tree sliding thing and unlock new areas lol. I wonder if they'll do more with things like that...and perhaps make worlds a little more interactive...meh, probably not, they have a kh3 to work on. And this pc thing. But Deep Jungle I felt was important to the story. I mean, the whole "friends in our hearts" speech? That line made it into a song! Significant. lol I'm done spewing feels everywhere.

A secret endning in CGI about KHIII would be nice. Also fixed camera angles in KH1. Maybe more secret bosses. I wouldn't be upset if there weren't any new ones.

Oh goodness yes, I didn't even think about that. Definitely a priority. Although it was a definite motivator for beating a boss in one try...

You actually can skip a cutscene once you've seen it once. But I TOTALLY get where you're coming from on that.

Oh yes, I completely forgot about this. I hated the unskippable cutscenes before really hard boss battles. This must be fixed.

Definitely the Cutscene skipping, actually syncing the lips to the voices in Re:CoM and Days lol theatre mode, and a CGI secret ending about KHIII.

 

Deep jungle will be fine so long as they don't alter it. The KH version of the world belongs to Square-Enix.

 

As for re-dubbing, I doubt they will and hope they won't. I prefer Billy Zane over Richard Epcar. Although they could most certainly re-dub Sephiroth. Lance Bass.....uuugh.

KHFM already has the option to skip cutscenes...
