Ooh that's a good theory. It's possible that Eraqus is sort of leading them on a path where they have the potential to destroy darkness forever. Once the X-blade has been forged...

I'm curious about exactly where and what Terra and Eraqus are doing. The comment Terra made about not being afraid of the darkness anymore because he had Eraqus was kind of unsettling...it almost leads you to believe that Terra himself might have been in control as apprentice Xehanort, Ansem, and Xemnas...of course, DDD blows that out of the water. Xehanort has more control over things than anyone could have guessed.

Of course, there was the part in BBS after Terra defeated them that Eraqus seemed to realize that what he was doing was wrong, and that his own heart was darkness...but that may have only added fuel to the fire. If darkness could exist even within someone who worshipped the light like Eraqus did...then no one was safe from its clutches. The only choice would be to destroy darkness...

I'm here to unveil to you possibility, that we never even thought of before.

What if instead of Master Xehanort being behind all the events that have come to pass it was instead Master Eraqus ion his attempt to rid the universe of darkness. What if Xehanort's attempt to stir an apocalypse has been driven by Eraqus's madness in an attempt to create a structure that is devoid of light. What if the almighty Xehanort is merely a pawn in a scheme by Eraqus to take control of Kingdom Hearts.

Let's look at some facts

What we know about Master Eraqus.

  • He is a strong advocate of the light.
  • He has ironclad principles.
  • He some how beat out Master Xehanort for the title of "Sucessor", even though Master Xehanort was the superior wielder.
  • He has had three pupils Ventus, Terra, and Aqua.(That we know of)
  • He is willing to kill Xehanort, Ventus, and Terra(in that order btw)
  • He is willing to kill Xehanort,Ventus and Terra.
  • He is willing to kill.
Let's take these facts into consideration, at the end of the day we know almost nothing about Eraqus. In fact we know more about Master Xehanort's past then we do about Master Eraqus's past. We have all been led to believe that Eraqus has been a man of light driven principles, however that lingering fact that he is willing to kill any threat hangs over his head like a crown of thorns.

Here is a list of things I question about Eraqus

  • It seems to me that even growing up Eraqus overvalued light. I could sense a frustration in Master Xehanort's reports, it almost seemed like Master Eraqus valued light so much that he tried to force it on others(Especially Xehanort).
  • How did Terra, and Aqua become his pupils and where are there parents? It seems convenient that they lived there for their whole lives, and not once have we ever seen their parents. Could they have been taken out in attempt by Eraqus to amass an army of light?
  • Again that lingering crown of thorns hangs upon Eraqus's so called halo. Why is he willing to not only kill what he percieves as a threat, but kill what ever stands in his way of eliminating that threat? Surely a man of such principle would be willing to find another way of solving that kind of problem.
  • Finally if Eraqus has been inside of Terra's heart all this time, why is it that his influence has was no beneficial factor in stopping Xehanort from winning the struggle for control of Terra's body?Surely such a strong light would be enough to combat Master Xehanort's heart of darkness. Could it be that Eraqus was not helping Terra's heart, but instead was repressing it? Maybe Maste Eraqus is biding his time until Master Xehanort's attempt to spark a Keyblade War is successful. Once the X-Blade is forged Eraqus could take control of Terra's body and use Kingdom Hearts to create a world of pure light.

  • 2 months later...

In his report, Xehanort expresses as if Eraqus's absolutes where a person of their own. Eraqus, and his absolutes.

Also, since I was watching Birth by Sleep instead of sleeping as school starts tomorrow I realize in the vocabulary Xehanort and Eraqus use, in Hidden Truths, Terra uses some elaborate words. 'Even if you do wrest control of my heart from me, even if you cast me into the deepest, darkest abyss, you'll never sway me from the one cause that keeps me fighting.' LOL, this is probably just me over-reacting, but you never know...
