Most likely because they come up with the ideas in Japan.

Why even compare America to japan? Sure, America is really lacking behind in terms of technology but you have to remember that America and japan are different countres with their own style.

I always think it's because America thinks they won't make money with these limited editions, but I doubt they are that stupid.
