i dont think u need the spoilers anymore

1- He was there when the islands were lost to darkness. This time, he was there to enact the Xehanort's plan

2- Traverse Town is two seperate worlds, one in the Dream World, where Sora is, and one n Sora's drema, where Riku is

3- Because he forgot about that moment in time

4- It's and X

5- In the World That Never Was, Sora is tricked into a new dream. Riku was in Sora's dream from the start

6- There's no way to know, not until the next game. Itès implied that Isa and Braig have gained their Somebody forms, and are with Xehanort, but that doesn't mean the versions we saw were them.

7- When Sora went to the World That Never Was, and started seeing visions of Terra, Aqua, Ventus, Roxas and Xion.

8- Both Sora and Riku were technically sleeping

9- A lot of people have different interpretations of the end. Nomura has stated that Sora went there to thank the Dream Eaters, however, it is unclear whether Sora has entered the Dream World with his regular clothes, or the Dream Eaters have gained access to the world of light

4. The recusant's sigil is a mark that repersents (I can't spell today) a the members of Org. XIII giving up their old selves and becoming a part of the 13 vessels of Darkness.

6. We don't know. They do have the recusant's sigil in their names, most likely because they are now under MX's controll.

9. Sora's story the WTNW was in the realm of sleep. Riku, however, was in the realm of sleep until be beat Ansem and then he was in the real world.

They just were. It wasn't important

It's just a reference to TWEWY

oh ok thanks again.

1. what was the purpose of xehanort's heartless being on destiny islands in the beginning of dream drop distance?

Basically, if a version of Xehanort existed there, he could go to that point in time and follow Sora and Riku into the Realm of Sleep when they went there.

2. in traverse town, joshua uses rhyme's dreams as a portal between the 2 traverse towns and only he can use that portal so how come in the second visit, shiki and rhyme step into the other towns to meet with their partners?

Joshua implies that it was the bonds they had and the ability to exist by connecting with their partners that they were able to meet each other.

How exactly did the town get split into two? does it have to with young master xehanort as joshua said? if so, how did he do it and why?

Sora's Traverse Town(And all Disney Worlds he visits) are the Sleeping Worlds, and Riku is inside Sora's dreams. Those are the two separate towns.

In that scene, why was yen sid shocked about the version of xehanort that posed riku?

"Oh shit, Xehanort was there when The islands fell to the Darkness, as Riku! That means he followed them in there! Oh shit!"

4. what exactly is a recusant's sigil? i know it's like a tracking device to spy on sora, but is there something more to it?

Pretty much, the letter "X" is the recusant's sigil. It can be seen on Terra, Aqua and Ventus, or the Organization XIII's names, and on Saïx's forehead.

5. when does the whole "'inception" happen and take place? who's in a dream within another dream? sora, riku, or both?

As soon as they open Destiny Island's Keyhole, Riku enters Sora's dreams.

6. was the isa and braig at the end of ddd pulled from the past from young master xehanort or from the present? are they still nobodies since they still call them by their nobodie's names?

Saïx and Xigbar are reborn as somebodies, but they're called by their "Nobody names" for the sake of having a Recusant' Sigil.

7. when did braig and xehanort put sora in a second sleep at the end of his story in the world that never was?

I think it's as soon as the flashbacks with Xehanort are over, when Sora Drops. But I'm not really sure.

8. so was sora sleeping throughout his test while he was in the realm of sleep?

Sora was asleep when he Dropped, so that Riku could be awake, but when he wasn't sleeping he was inside the Sleeping worlds, but wasn't really sleeping, himself.

9. at the very end, it shows sora in his kingdom hearts 2 form, but i thought traverse town's keyhole was unlocked and awake, so why where the dream eaters there if they only exist in the realm of sleep? same goes for the world that never was. was it a dream or reality in sora and riku's story?

Traverse Town and TWTNW are worlds in the Realm Between, which is known for each world having a special attribute. Traverse Town changes it's form every time it comes to existence, and TWTNW is a world that is both asleep and awake.

When Sora gets to TWTNW, he's in the real thing. But as soon as he falls asleep, up until the point where he fights Xemnas, he's inside his own Dream. When he fights Xemnas, he's in the Dream of the World(He's in the "Sleeping World" form of TWTNW).

Riku's part is all inside Sora's Dream until after the fight with Ansem. After that, he's in the real world.

No one's really sure about Traverse Town.

A simple, everyday "X" or an article of clothing that happens to have an "X" pattern somewhere on it (TAV trio clothes) isn't going to work as a sigil, it needs to be placed on one's person (physically or mentally or however else) before it activates.

I think most questions have been cleared up, but I just a little detail on number 3

Yen Sid had just said that Xehanort could know everything that they'd do if he could travel through time, and to that he would need to give up his body. Mickey realized that one of his forms, that is, Ansem SoD DID gave up his body before possessing Riku, since he was a heartless. So Yen Sid understood what Xehanort had been doing all time, he always knew Sora and Riku would go to the Sleep Worlds, he knew EVERY SINGLE MOVE the Light Keyblade Wielders would do until that moment were they all gathered in "Where nothing Gathers" (that was a weird sentence)

And yeah so things are really confusing, you should play again or watch the cutscenes a second time to understand it all better...

This explains a lot of my questions too. I still have one but I'm gonna make another thread for it.
