Ok, I was scrolling through the KH1 chronicle in the mementos section of kh3d just to see the pretty screenshots, I had come to the scene where Sora, Riku, and Kairi are sitting on the paopu tree looking at the sunset, when I noticed, Riku's hair didn't have the familiar dark shades that he had in KH1. His hair was perfect. Then I noticed that Sora's face was a little wider than it had been and his hair wasn't quite as dark. This has lead me to believe, that before KH1.5 had even been anounced, screenshots from the HD remix were used in KH3D. Go check it out for yourselves and tell me what ya think.

That's pretty interesting. It would be nice to see more people have a closer look at this and see if it's the case or not.

Actually guys, I agree that KH3D's screenshot is different to the original KH... but I also think it's different to the HD 1.5 ReMIX. Let's have a look:

As you can see, Original and KH3D are definitely different (check the length of the strap things on Riku's pants), however, comparing KH3D and HD 1.5 ReMIX, I don't think they're the same either. The trailer for HD 1.5 ReMIX doesn't have that exact cutscene, so I can't do a definite comparison, but it seems that Riku's model in HD 1.5 ReMIX is quite muscley, where in KH3D, his arms are completely smooth.

The mementos are actually prerendered. They use the models that Square uses for promotional material

Well, yeah, I noticed. You can see how they actually made the pictures or artwork (whatever) in KH present style, with better graphics, and it kinda made in the same way KH1.5 ReMix would be. But you already said that...
