Well, that's interesting. No, really, it is...there's a bigger picture, trust me.

 

I mean, what does "new characters" mean exactly? Does it mean new Disney characters? New FF characters? What about original characters completely new to the series and/or a Square Enix game in general?

 

Also, there's the factor or whether or not these supposedly new characters will show up in KH3 / Post Xehanort Saga game / another spin-off....I mean, it would have to depend on the kind of character. Hell, maybe we'll see a cameo from a Disney character in this game, and come KH3, the movie he/she is from gets a world! That's what happened to Simba and Mushu, anyway...

 

Also, if its a FF character...well, to be honest, I think chances are a bit slim...but if there are still, I wouldn't mind seeing them again sometime in the future...cuz there are a LOT of characters I'd like to see.

 

And original characters....eh....well, usually original characters sorta have some big form of relevancy (Sora / Riku / Kairi / Roxas/ Namine / etc.), so if Normura throws in another one for shits and giggles....I mean, unless they're there for tutorial purposes or something...I don't really see the point.

 

Well, I've said my piece. The rest I leave to you...

 

The question is: what do you think Normura means by "new characters"? Disney? FF? Original? Future place in KH3 or beyond?

I think WE are the new characters... but that's kind of pointless, seeing as how we all die in the end. It does take place at the keyblade wars.

I should be one of the new characters. There should also be a character based on Bruce Lee.

"New characters" can mean anything but it was suspect that Nomura said he couldn't speak of them currently. Either way I wouldn't get my hopes up yet because (for those expecting something relevant) it might not mean much. New Disney characters is always a want because it implies that we can see their world in another KH game in the canon story line and original characters may show up (I'm almost expecting OCs to be there at least for tutorial purposes and such) and can just as likely play in the part in the canon eventually. What ever they do I'm cautiously excited.

We'll have to wait and see, Nomura probably doesn't know either I mean, it's a big move putting a new character, because that'd give the game some importance in the story, so he has to think things though before anything too
