Monty Oum, the creator of Dead Fantasy is creating a new show, called RWBY {Red White Black Yellow} so far, there is a trailer which showcase what I believe is Red, a girl based off of Little Red Riding hood. It's incredibly badass, and the soundtrack so far sounds amazing!

Red like roses fills my dreams and brings me to the place you rest

White is cold and always yearning burdened by a royal test

Black the beast descends from shadows

Yellow beauty burns gold

Just realized RT has a whole bunch of Monty speaking in podcasts, clips, and other recordings. They can just use those samples for Ren if they choose not to hire another VA. He's said plenty of diverse things so it wouldn't be a stretch to do it that way.

Using voice samples is rarely a good idea.

Yeah. Have to agree, using previously made voice samples almost always sounds terrible, even if they could get the exact lines they need. It would be best to get a new VA

i agree as well. i dont want them to re use what he has already said. it sorta seems disrespectful in a way as well.

I don't think anyone else can pull off Ren though. Hmmm, RT uses quality mics for most of everything nowadays, but the right intonations might not be present in the lines they need. I wouldn't want Ren to be mute either or killed off. Hmmm. I'm sure Monty had recorded some of his lines already also. I'm sure RT has figured it out by now though.

Anything is better than re-used audio.

 

Seriously, it's not hard to pull off Ren's tone of voice. It's not like he had too many speaking lines in either Volume 1 or Volume 2 either, so a change in actor really wouldn't affect much at all.

Yeah, like I said, I'm sure they already have it figured out. I was just offering my input/theories to the fan base since it was fresh in my mind!

 

I was also thinking Nora could interrupt Ren before he speaks as a running gag, since she's pretty talkative and Ren rarely got lines in anyways.

 

Also throwing this out there, maybe they can make Ren mute IF it was because of plot. For example, that village that they didn't get to. If for some reason that village was destroyed (reference to Mulan since Ren is her), and Ren decided to take a vow of silence in respects to it, it would make complete sense.

To not have him talk not only out of convenience but to increase the quality of the show by giving him character development with a reason not to talk? That seems a little disagreeable.

 

I do not care what they decide to do as long as my enjoyment of the show continues to increase. Besides, in the long run, Monty would want his legacy (in the form of RWBY in this case) to be as good as possible, so no matter what they decide, if it's a good decision, then I think it's fine.

I really doubt Ren's character will get that sort of attention based on the direction that all the side characters are going.

 

Still, it's a nice idea.

So yeah- kind of awesome ^~^

Yeah, I noticed that as well! I believe the original release of the CD though didn't have it censored. Ah well! It's still just as good.

I got the Google Play version and it was censored...I didn't think it was different oh well. I prefer the censored version.

Strange they censor it. I hear the "uncensored" version, so I got lucky with the first batch I suppose.
