David Guetta - are they really his songs?

Posted

Does David Guetta even sing in any of his songs? There's always a claim that the song is by him and yet the singer doesn't even sould like a guy. Isn't the artist of a song the person or group that preforms it? I understand the he worked on the song and wants credit, but shouldn't the main credit go to the person who sang it like every other song? What do you think?

There should be dual credit owo

Well did this guy who sings write any part of the song? If he didn't then I don't think he should get credit, but the guy who did write it should

But if they both wrote parts of it, then dual credit. Like John Lennon and Paul McCartney :OO

The credit should always go to guy who is master mind behind the music. And singer is just part of the band so I don't see why he should get all the credit

Because writers tend not to care about being famous, they just want the money that their song will earn for them. The singer does care about being famous, and actually has the talent to make the song sound good.

Actually what writers wanna do is music, not money (if they care about it in artistic way) If you are able to make good song, you must have some music talent.

I don't see singers just wanting to be famous, they obviously want to make money as well. And singer doesn't need to be super talented to make song sound good (it's pretty easy to sing song when you just need to follow notes)

It's what they want, sure, but writers tend not to care if they're given credit to the full public. As in, they don't mind if a song on iTunes is listed as Song A by Singer A or something, instead of Song A by Song Writer A. The singers do want to be famous. You don't take up a career like singing and expect to get rich if you're not famous. I think Justin Beiber, Carly Rae Jepson, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, ect. all wanted to be famous, otherwise they would have gotten a real job.

Well being famous gives you a lot of money, have you thought about that. This is just my opinion, but I really think that if you want to call yourself musician you will do the job for the enjoyment of making the music and perform it for people. At least that is what makes me happy. But it's the fact that you need money to do it and best way to make money is to get famous.

I know they make money. xDD That was the first thing I thought about. But if you actually think about it, that's not why they're singers. There are plenty of jobs that also pay quite a bit of money for very little work, and they could have taken one of those. Yet they still chose singing. Somewhere in their hearts, they REALLY wanted to be famous. The worst way to get money is getting famous, imo. xDD Your entire life gets invaded, every wrong decision you made 20 years ago is open for everyone on the planet to see, you'll get death threats, ect. Musicians probably started out doing it for the love of music, but they pretty quickly stop caring. Michael Phelps (bouncing over to swimming just because it's a good example) has even said that swimming in races is boring now, because he's done it so many times. It's basically the same for musicians. Eventually, they're just done with being musicians. They only keep doing it for money, and because it's been documented that fame in an actual addiction. People want it so badly, even though they hate being famous, they also love it. Kind of like smokers--hate it and love it.

I can agree you with on some points, but I don't see any passionate musician getting bored with his/her job, if they actually take it easy and make new songs. I can see anyone getting bored if they make those massive world tours and take no breaks and play same songs on every concert. It also depends little bit on do you make music for yourself or your manager/fans and stuff.
