December 31, 201212 yr The English translation for his name is Vanitas Remnant, so I'm assuming he is some kid of remnant of Vanitas. The last of Vanitas strength after he was defeated taking shape as this new creature.
December 31, 201212 yr In the BbS character files it says "A physical manifestation of what remained of Vanitas's powerful thoughts and feelings." So it's his darkness and negative beliefs that shaped the Remnant into a human form and gave it power; it's Vanitas's beliefs in human form.
December 31, 201212 yr He's basically the same thing as Lingering Sentiment, the remains of someone's last strong feeling and thoughts. Because of Vanitas's ability to create Unversed I assume Vanitas Remnant was born in a similar manner as Vanitas doesn't need a medium like Terra did.
January 2, 201312 yr can anyone tell me how to beat him? :s Spam Mines, use potions and no Cures what so ever, dodge like Hell. Also, don't have things like Fire Wheel and the likes equipped because they slow you down, use regular dodge abilities.

Also, don't have things like Fire Wheel and the likes equipped because they slow you down, use regular dodge abilities. i actually have a ton of potions but for some reason when i equip them, it only lets me use 3 of them and then im out. and then when i actually get a chance to hit him and deal some damage, he just has another health bar.

Yeah, you're limited to only three potions per slot so your best bet is to equip a few of them; at least three imo. Mines are your best bet. He moves so fast that there isn't much you can do to hit him so just lay Mines and let him take himself out. Do you have the Once More and Second Chance abilities equipped?

Those abilities should help because they save you from dying from one kill combos and the like. You know how when someone dies there soul is released from the body? It's the same for Vanitas. When Ventus destroyed his heart interiorly and Aqua destroyed his body exteriorly, his soul (lingering spirit) was released. I have written a research report on this and I have written that these spirits have an endless presence in the Keyblade Graveyard even though they're not visible. Also, this is my 100th post !
January 27, 201312 yr It has the Unversed symbol on his mask... Vanitas is in control of the Unversed. You encounter him in the badlands, and if I'm not mistaken... Vanitas was created there. If you ask me, he was the first Unversed created by Vanitas, the emotion he embodies being powerful enough to take himan form. He's called remnant due to being the last aspect of Vanitas left after the defeat of himself. Alternately, he is the embodiment of the emotion Vanitas felt at his defeat, as opposed to his creation.
January 29, 201312 yr If you're ventus you can kill him in 2 hits with Tornado, I can't remember how I made it but it takes up 2 slots.
