You've signed up at Camp Sunnybrook; a camp tucked away far from the reaches of civilization. It's a nature camp where all electronics are banned, and you are forced to enjoy nature at its finest.

 

But you and your campmates soon learn that you aren't alone in the woods...

[For reference, there will be three camp counselors (all aged 20)--Meredith Awn, Rachel McCafferty, and Johnny "Bugs" Bunny. Right now, I'll be controlling them, but if anyone feels like taking on one of them as a second character, let me know. I'd like to keep control of Rachel McCafferty, but the other two are open if anyone wants them.] 

 

The camp was poor. That much was instantly obvious to Ariella. After a long drive down a skinny dirt road, the downtrodden camp came into view. The "Camp Sunnybrook" sign had long faded, and was falling off of its post. The cabins, even from a distance, appeared to be infected with bugs, and hadn't been cleaned since the camp opened. The only part of the camp that didn't appear to be wasting away was the lake. 

 

The family Volkswagon came to a screeching halt. Ariella's weary eyed mother turned to face her in the back seat. "Here we are, baby girl. Hop on out and celebrate the beauty of nature." Ariella nodded halfheartedly. The camp wasn't the bright, sunshine filled wonderland of nature worship that she had expected. Actually, it more resembled something out of a horror movie. Ariella scooped up her duffel bag, suddenly feeling as if she hadn't packed nearly enough to survive this wretched camp. 

 

A tall, slightly plump woman with a cap of strawberry blonde curls rushed to greet Ariella. "Hello, hello, camper!" She was one of those sickly, permanently happy people. Ariella tried to hide her disgust. 

 

"Hi." She tapped the clipboard clutched between the woman's arms. "Name's Ariella. Check me off the list." 

 

The woman shook her head vigorously. "Oh, no, no, we don't have a checklist! Anyone could come to Camp Sunnybrook if they want. This is just my list of cabin assignments. You'll get to find out soon enough. We're all gathering by the lake, honey, if you would like to go sit down there until the other campers arrive. I'm Miss McCafferty." 

 

Ariella didn't bother to reply. She had been so excited for this trip, but the camp wasn't nearly what she had pictured. Where was all of the sunshine? The healthy, towering deciduous trees? The canoes and the bar-b-que and the perfect camp she had imagined? She trudged toward the lake in disappointment. 

The camp reminded Judy of something out of a really REALLY bad horror movie. If this WAS a horror movie (cliches and all), Judy would die sometime after the goofball of the group. But, there wouldn't be any goofball (probably) and usually camp horror scenarios only occurred to close knit groups of friends and Judy wouldn't know any of these campers. Except Jude of course.

"Where the hell is he anyways?" she muttered to herself as she got out of her mom's car. If he was anywhere in the camp, she would've seen the giant already.

She grabbed her bags from the trunk and waved at her mom as a signal that she could leave. Her mom warmly smiled back and drove off in her small car.

Once the car was out of sight, she checked her bag, making sure her stash was still expertly hidden in the lining of her bag. She knew Jude would appreciate her courageous effort to bring him some bud. It'd make things more fun anyways.
With her everything accounted for her, she walked towards a tall woman, a camp counselor she assumed who had just finished greeting another girl who looked a hippie.

Reaching the woman, she immediately extended her hand for a shake, wanting to be in the counselor's good spirits to get away with what she can while at this camp. If things went her way (which most of the time did), miss counselor would be putty in her hands.
"Hello! I'm Judith Runner, but you can call me Judy. It's very nice to meet you!"

Her sugary sweet voice wasn't all an act, it was truly nice to meet the woman. And she seemed like she could appreciate a nice, excited greeting, seeing as most would act coldly towards her and the camp itself.

Katelyn jumped out of the car and quickly grabbed her bags."Bye mom,bye dad."She said,but of course her parents where to busy arguing about..well who knew what is was this time.Slamming the car door Katelyn turned and looked at the camp.The place didn't look the cleanest,and the place looked like something out of a horror movie."Well this place is better than my house."She muttered,and began walking towards a tall women who must have been one of the .

 

"Excuse me miss I'm Katelyn Hikari." The women looked down at her and gave an overly friendly smile."Welcome Katelyn I sure hope you'll enjoy it here,why don't you go wait by the lake till the others arrive." Katelyn nodded,and looked over to see two girls around her age waiting already.She waved bye to the counselor and headed towards the lake.

Jumping out of the car of her mothers with everything she prepared to bring before she heard the engine rev faster. Dirt flew in her face as the young girl glared at the ground. "Thanks a lot mom......" Continuing to glare for a few more seconds before sighing. Looking up to see one of the women no helped run the place. "I am Cassidy Kingly." It was plain and almost a bit sour word on her mouth. The women have her a smile that sent chills down her side before sparking. "Well, Cassidy, I hope you enjoy it here. You may go to the lake and join the rest of the girls." Nodding briefly to the women as she pulled her backpack up further. "Okay then." Walking pass the women she headed toward the lake already spotting some of the other girls.

Did you ever take such a big dump that afterwards your butthole stung a bit? Not a painful sting, but still kind of uncomfortable since you thought you’d feel great afterwards. As Jude’s parents’ car pulled up to the camp, he thought that’s what having a dick up your butt would feel like. He felt that there was a real comparison to his situation; that this camp was a dick, and all of the ‘happy fun time’ was going to be shoved right up his nook. By the end, he hoped that the pain from having to actually socialize with other people would be just a small sting. Although this forced outing isn't coming with any lubrication. Oh no, they’re going in dry.

 

"If I die, I hope you get sued for sending me to my death," Jude said to his parents as he slid out of the car. Of course his parents laughed as they drove away, still thinking that his mindset was all just a joke, to which he rolled his eyes at. There were other kids being dropped off as well, and he couldn't help notice how he towered over all of them. Well that's obviously something new, he thought sarcastically.

 

It already wasn't a good start. It didn't help that his dope intake suddenly stopped after his mom found his stash. His parents did a cleaning of the whole house. Searching high and low to get every hint of weed out of the house. His hands fidgeted at his sides, clenching and unclenching, going through the motions of rolling a joint. He could so go for a joint right now. 

 

Speaking of joints, Jude caught the obnoxiously bright red hair of his favorite partner in the exploration of radical high's. He lumbered his way over, nodding to the counselor (while forcing a smile) as he pulled the shrimp sized fireball towards the lake. 

 

"Are you ready for a summer where technology is treated like alcohol and people hump like dogs in heat?" Jude snorted as he looked over the campers. "It'll be a miracle if I can do this sober. Doubt it though."

"Rude as ever Jude. I was introducing myself to that fine piece of ass over there." Judy laughed, glancing back at the counselor who really wasn't that bad looking. Tall and curvy, but not particularly gorgeous. From what she had seen so far, the rest of the girls here weren't anything above average, in her opinion at least. There weren't even any dudes yet, so no attractive men to check out either.  "Looks like you're going to be drowning in estrogen too, there's hardly a dude in sight." 

 

She dragged her bag behind her as she walked towards the lake with her partner in crime, covering the bag in dirt, but it was old so who cared. She picked it up a bit when she remembered her stash, not wanting to damage the goods.

 

"Anyways, you'll be happy to know that 'Mary Jane' is coming to the camp too so we can party with her tonight." She patted his lower back, being too small to reach his upper back or shoulder as is usual for a reassuring pat. "So stop moping and lose some inches because every time I see you, you're t least 5 inches taller or something ridiculous."

Torrin slumped in the passenger seat of his sister's Camaro. Yes, Teresa got a camaro. He got a rusty bike. She was silent, letting him stew.

"Hey..."

"Yeah?" Torrin looked over at her.

"I am goinf to ask mom and dad to get you a car. That Shelby GT500, right? Mom said whatever I wanted since both she and dad got bonuses at work."

"They hate me."

"They adore me. And I love you Tor. Please stop going emo on me."

Torrin sighed, watching the scenery. He picked a random place and hey, it was Sunnnybrook. Not that he cared. Anywhere was better then home. Nothing but neglect and disdain. All he really had was Teresa. He looked over to his twin. She was really rhe only thing good he had.

"Sis...thanks."

Teresa grinned. "You actually said something that didn't depress me."

Torin amiled slightly as they pulled to a stop. "Don't get used to it."

Teresa leaned over and hugged him, kissing his cheek. "Please Torrin. For your sis. Have a good time."

Torrin stepped out with his stuff. "See you soon." He said before walking away from the Camaro. Teresa sighed and pulled away as some bubbly camp counselor directed Torrin somewhere, to which he replied "whatever" and headed for, slipping his headphones on and turning uphis music - Castle of Glass by Linkin Park.

"Did your packed your bug repellant?" "Make sure that no boys touch you if you feel uncomfty." "No swimming to deep in the lake either!" Luna-Sol listened to her parents tell her good advices and constantly asked if she had packed what she needed. Her luggage being nothing more than a brightly colored bag,fushia with orange fowers on it. "Yes yes mother,father."Luna-Sol says as she texted the last of her text messeges,her pink nails glittering as the sunlight came through the window. "It seems we are here." Luna-Sol instantly looked up with a smile on her face,whih faded a bit as she saw the state of the camp around her. Old seemingly unstable cabins,dead if not almost dead trees all around. The sighn itself was old. The only thing that seemd decent enough was the lake. Luna-Sol's parents parked and looked around. "Are you sure you wish to stay here sweety?"Her mom asked once more,not really sure if her daughter would be able to deal summer camp. Luna-Sol looked around. As bad as the camp seemed,she was determined to show her parents that she could take care of herself. Besides,maybe it wasn't as bad as it looked. She always had to look the positive side of things. Luna-Sol turned and smiled. "Yes mother,father. I will be fine."Luna-Sol says as she kissed both of them in the cheek before getting out of the car. She opened the trunk and got out herluggage case and her girly version of domo backpack,which she proceeded to get around her shoulders. She closed the trunk and dragged her luggage up into the camp. She turned and waved. "Goodbye! I promise to send you a post card!"Luna-Sol says smiling. Her parents waved,and oh so slowly drove away,leaving their daughter alone with the rest of the camp attendees and people. Luna-Sol would seem like the delicate kind,but she was bubblely out all. She was sure to handle a few camp involved activities or two,as long as she did not wore skirts. She walked around with her luggage. "I wonder which cabin I'm staying."Luna-Sol wondered as she contemplated how dead the place actually looked. She felt something crawl over her feet. She got goosebumps as she saw a cattepillar. "EW,no no no. Down!"Luna-Sol says as she shook her foot and the Catepillar eventually got off. Luna-Sol looked around and saw one of the camp councelors,Meredith Awn to be exact. Luna-Sol proceeded to walk up to her with a big smile on her face. "Hello. I'm Luna-Sol. Where do I register?"Luna-Sol asked as her eyes sparkled.

"As if I'd go for any of these sheep. A little on the short side, I like my partners the way I like my taffy; stretched long and thin by artificial means. Actually, give them ten or so years and they'll be getting work done. I heard breast implants are all the rage these days." Jude commented on Judy's observation of the estrogen infested camp. He was a bit relieved at the so-far lack of testosterone. From his experience with the same gender, most guys only cared about two things; sex and tits --neither of which Jude gave a firetruck about.

 

Jude tossed his bag on the ground, not really caring about the contents --especially after his parents did ten checks on its contents. He could feel his braincells dying one by one as each minute passed. But thankfully his mind was set at ease when Judy had mentioned their good old friend "Mary Jane". 

 

"Ah, I haven't seen 'Mary Jane' in a long time! How is she? Last time I saw her was at Dylan's shindig just a couple weeks ago. Man, my head's still banging from that wild ride she gave me," Jude smiled at the memory, then elbowed Judy in the shoulder. "Speaking of wild rides, I heard about that party you had with Robby, Clarissa, and Dominique from the cheer squad. Top of the pyramid, I heard. Although I guess it is expected since you're too small to be the structure at the bottom. Did you ever think that maybe someone is just putting shrinking pellets into your morning latte? Maybe you should stop inhaling all that coffee and possibly grow a few inches, because I'm ninety-five percent sure I'm not done growing." The contrast between their heights was pretty drastic, with him being well over a foot taller than her. Jude's pants legs were almost too short for him. If he were to grow a couple more inches, he'd have to start wearing shorts all the time. Not that anyone would want to see that, his legs didn't have a lot of meat to them and it was all replaced with jungles of hair.

Judy smacked Jude's arm hard. 

 

"I'll inhale all the coffee I want. I even brought a couple bottles of iced coffee in my bag." Judy swears, coffee is so much more addicting than a doobie. She has a cup every morning, bitter black. She doesn't particularly like the sugar packed specialties at Starbucks, but assuming this camp was especially lacking in technology, she wouldn't be able to get a nice hot of joe. So along with Jude's good 'friend', she brought a couple of bottles to carry her through the first few days. Enough to slowly wean her off her addiction to the bean. At least until she gets out of here. Then it's back to her morning cup of jitter juice. 

 

"Keep making short jokes though, I'll make you give me a piggy back ride all throughout the camp and cut you off from sweet 'Mary Jane'." She smirks. "And if you must know, Robby, Clarissa and Dominique did get the privilege to have a private party with me. It was kind of a snooze and it ended earlier than I wanted to, I wasn't sure if it was because they were baked like a cake or as drunk as my never-present father, but they were out like lights after the first few goes. Clarissa's implants didn't feel too bad though, nice and firm." Judy brought her own hands to her chest. "As for me, I think I will keep my rather small boobs. My ass compensates for my lack of chest fat." 

 

Judy tosses her dirty bag next to Jude's and takes a seat on his bag. Like hell she was going sit on her own. She has precious merch in there. She brought enough to sell in case some of the campers wanted to have some fun too. It was a lot of work to get it though. And she wasn't even about to sit on the ground. There was grass and dirt and she was wearing one of her favorite tights and she did NOT want pieces of grass sticking to her butt. 

Jude winced and rubbed his arm. He was not strong, even if he was tall. There were no muscles on his bones, just skin. He was one hundred percent certain that he would find a bruise later on. 

 

"The minute I stop making short jokes is the day you carry me around on your back. I bet you could, you're strong for a woman your stature," Jude commented as he sat down on the ground next to his friend. In fact, there was a time when she would give him piggy back rides. Although it was usually when they were about five joints too high. Quite the sight, he imagined. 

 

Jude looked as more campers made their way towards the lake. So far none of the counselors had told them where they'd be bunking, or who they'd be bunking with. Hell, from what he heard the counselors didn't even keep track of who was even at the camp. He was utterly appalled.

 

"You'd think by now some actual authority would be addressing us by now. Instead we're all sitting here like cattle. They don't even have a checklist for us! How unprofessional. I wouldn't be surprised that if this did turn out to be some cliche horror movie schtick where we all go missing or get killed and the counselors can't get in trouble because they have no record of us here. Reminds me a bit of that camp in Holes, you know, Camp Greenlake?" Jude scoffed and rested his head on the palm of his hand, which rested on his knee. His eyes narrowed as he continued to study the other campers and counselors. He was so close to just grabbing his bag and hiking home. It sounded a lot better than this dump they called a camp. 

Torrin put his stuff down before hoisting himself up onto a cabin. He then climbed on and sat on top, enjoying his music and looking around. Didn't seem like a lot of kids. Didn't seem like a lot of anything. Especially not his parents. Torrin leaned back on the roof, making sure to keep his balance. It was quiet. He actually liked it. No parents fawning over his sister, no stupid shows or buisness calls one could hear from across the house. Thankfully.Torrin sighed, waiting for someone to yell at him for climbing buildings.

Katelyn stared at the ground as more people came.Her luggage which consisted of her zombie book-bag,and her guitar which rested at her feet.

You have to be more....assertive,and make at least some friends  She thought over and over,but no matter how much she convinced herself to get up and make friends her feet refused to move.Katelyn did manage to lift her head and look at everyone.From what she could see the place mostly consisted of girls,but there were a few guys too.

She then examined the camp some more..there was the cabins that looked like they were about to cave in at any moment,some dead trees,a forest,and last the sparking blue lake.

Katelyn just sighed and strummed a few strings on her guitar while she waited for anyone else that would show up.

"If this DOES turn out like a horror movie, I'm throwing you in front of me when the killer throws his axe." Judy tilted her head back to look at the sky. At least the sky was still pretty. It was mostly clear and the sun felt nice. "I wonder who'd die first though."

 

She straightened up and examined all the people she could see.

 

"The counselors would either be behind it or disappear. I think plain Jane over there would be the first to go. Probably a boring kill, like a knife to the chest." She motions to Cassidy. "And then emo boy up there. He'd probably get his head chopped off." She points to where the kid, Torrin, had sat up on top of the cabin. "And following will be hippie girl. She'd fall into a trap, maybe get stuck somewhere and the killer would let her bleed to death." She turned her head towards Ariella. "Then guitar girl, probably. She'll go back to save her guitar and then BAM, stabbed in the back." She glances at Katelyn. "Then rainbow hair over there. She'll probably die fighting, but he'll be too strong." She didn't have to point her out, her hair was as loud as Judy's. 

 

She stood up and grinned. "And lastly, would be us two, fighting whatever it is and then you'll sacrifice yourself and I'll get away. Only to encounter the killer in my home and being killed in my sleep." 

 

Before letting Jude respond, she decided she might as well TRY to make some other buds here. She decides emo boy needs to socialize a bit more and turned towards him again and cupping her hands around her mouth.

 

"HEY YOU THERE!"

Torrin heard something. Yes, through his music, even though it was Warriors of the World by Manowar on full volume. She had some lungs. Torrin sighed, pausing his song and pulling his headphones down. Why would anyone talk with him? Hell. Barely anyone did anyways why would it ever change? But whatever. Might as well give Loud Girl an answer "Yes you there?" He called back to her.

"STOP BEING A SAD SACK AND GET DOWN HERE!" Judy crossed her arms across her chest and tapped her foot against the ground, making little dirt clouds rise up and rise up.

 

Ugh, she's going to need a shower soon, all this dirt is making her feel grimy. She usually didn't mind the outdoors, she actually liked being outside, but the earth is so dry and the dirt is getting all over her and made her feel gross.

 

She drew her attention back to emo kid, wondering if he'll get his music confiscated. The camp doesn't allow technology, and that PROBABLY includes music. And by probably, that means definitely. She wasn't going to rat him out, but his headphones were kind of obvious. She wondered how long it would take for curvy counselor over there to see them as ask for his mp3 or whatever he had so she could lock it away in a safe or something.

 

She wondered if anyone would rat on her and Jude for their stash, but she could probably come up with a convincing argument, especially if she could get on the counselors good sides. Then she'd just wrap them around her finger and she'd get away with whatever she wanted. I mean, if her stash was discovered, she could simply say "Well, cannabis is from nature and heightens your senses, so wouldn't it ASSIST with enjoying nature at its fullest."

 

She chuckled to herself.

Meredith Awn turned to Luna-Sol and shook her head. "Oh no. No signing up. You will need to wait by the lake along with the rest of the campers until everyone is here."Meredith says as she was checking down some stuff on a list she had. Luna-Sol blinked a few times and noded. "Um,ok."Luna-Sol says as she turned and made her way to the edge of the lake where most campers were gathering around. Luna-Sol got a hand over her head as the sun was shinning down brightly. It was a somewhat nice day for a seemingly dead place. "Oi,so bright."Luna-Sol says as in one hand she was holding her luggage. She looked around and walked over to the lake. She looked down at it. The water was pretty clear. She couldn't see any fishes however. Maybe they were deeper she guessed. "I would not be surprised if the lake is dead also."Luna-Sol says as she searched through her backpack and took out a pair of blue shades as she got them over her eyes considering how bright it was,atleast for her. She looked around. "(There are no boats,no canoes,no fireplace,no nothing. And I swear that there's spider webs on that post.)"Luna-Sol thought as she stood around by the lake looking around the camp. She wasn't an outdoor person,but she knew that summer camps really didn't looked like these,atleast most.

Sighing, Torrin climbed down, stuffing his iPod into his pack. Hopefully they wouldn't rat him out. He touched down and crouched, then rose up to head over to the red-haired girl with piercings and stuff. He trudged over, blinking. No one really paid any attention to him. He was usually ignored and left alone.

He came to a stop by them, roughly four feet away. They were definetly not the people he usually...oh. wait. He usually never associated with people.

"Yo." He said

"I have to make some friends..."Katelyn told herself once again.This time though she was able to get up,carefully placing her guitar in it's case Katelyn swung her bag over her shoulder.She looked around the group of kids,but she couldn't bring herself to walk over to any of them.She just sort of walked around until she came to a small shady tree.Katelyn sat down and went through her bag until she found one of her notebooks which was specifically used for song writing.She sang quietly yet loud enough to hear herself while glancing around to make sure no one heard her.If they did they didn't look at her.Katelyn continued to sing as she wrote down the lyrics in her notebook.

Amber opened the back door of her parent's BMW. She jumped out, pack on her back. She could hear her parents calling good-byes as they drove away. Amber ignored them. It wasn't like they deserved any thanks. Amber walked into camp a little before she was stopped by an ecstatic lady with curly strawberry blonde hair. She was plump, and had a large smile on her face. It looked like the smile was plastered on her face permanently. Amber brushed some hair out of her eyes, but it fell back in. "Hey. Name's Mors. Amber Mors." The lady laughed at the reference, as if she actually thought it was funny. "Well, welcome to Camp Sunnybrook." she said in a creepily happy tone. Amber looked around the lady to get a view of the camp. She saw the set for a cheap horror movie. Lovely. "We're all meeting by the lake, so if you'll kindly go over there. By the way, my name is Miss McCafferty." Miss McCafferty continued. Amber nodded, and continued on her way into camp. Their were a few other campers around, looking about as happy as she was. Amber sighed, and sat down onto a large rock.

Lucas glanced out the window of his mother's sedan, letting loose the mother of all bored sighs. He was being shipped off to summer camp, another boring place, in the middle of the boring woods, for one boring week.

 

Lucas already missed his computer.

 

"Now, Lucas. I want you on your best behavior." His mother chided, looking at him with a unamused expression. Lucas rolled his eyes, sighing again. Outside was nothing but green trees, and it failed to entertain Lucas for even a second. Few things entertained him, really. That's why he spent his life on his computer, because there, he had a chance of escaping reality. Mostly.

 

"Hey mum, what's the name of this camp, again?" Lucas asked, and his mother, without batting an eye, gestured to a bright yellow brochure. Lucas sighed once more, picking up the paper.

Sunnybrook. Great....sounds ridiculously cheesy. I wonder how long I'll last before the boredom gets to me. Lucas thought, smirking as he imagined himself spontaneously combusting from sheer boredom alone. The thought was wrenched from his mind as he was jerked forward, and he looked around. He was there.

 

"Get your things, and have fun. I'll see you later." His mother said, and Lucas grumbled something unintelligible as he clambered out of the car.

Looking at the growing number of students she smiled lightly to herself. 'Apparently I wasn't the only one to bring tech either.' Facing into her backpack while continuing to look up little bits of information here and there. The plainest, youngest, and nerdiest didn't get noticed much. Which was fine by her. It meant she could do what she wanted as much as she wanted. The thought ended with her phone being turned off, slid deeper into the bag, and zipping it up as if she hadn't been doing anything. The one girl who was apparently named Judy was starting to bug her deeply. 'Of course someone has a stash. Probably wants a profit too. I wonder what else she has up for grabs.' Smiling to herself, all to happy about being sitting somewhat close to the girl herself, before letting it turn blank. No one needed to know plain girl wasn't really so plain after all.

"What makes you think I'd sacrifice myself? For all you know, I could turn on everyone in this camp early on and make an alliance with the killer. Or I could be the killer. We may be 'bffsies5ever' but there's no way I'm sacrificing my life for anyone. I've still got a lot of people to prove I'm better than," Jude commented and fixed the black rimmed glasses that slid down his nose. He looked up at Judy, who was calling the kid who had climbed up onto the cabins over. Seriously, who even wastes their time climbing? Too much effort to get a good view, in his opinion. Then again with his height he always had a good view, although he did hit his head a lot.

 

Then surprisingly the kid decided to climb down and make his way over to them. Jude did a once over on the guy; about their age, and just a few inches shorter than him if he read people right. He stood up and nodded in response to the guy's greeting. 

 

"We're talking about theories about this place really being just some part of a big cliche horror movie type deal. I mean this place is a dump, the staff is horrible at running the place, and honestly there aren't that many kids here. Aren't these places usually just bustling with teens who are in the middle of that awkward stage of self-exploration?" Jude counted the kids that had arrived so far; hippie girl; quiet girl with the guitar; quiet girl; quiet girl #2 that was pale as shit (that black clothing did not help either, Jude's inner Judy commented); techno-colored girl; Tarzan; Judy; and himself. Oh wait, here comes someone, Jude thought as a guy who reminded him too much of the in-crowd at school arrived at the camp. A variety of people, mostly. ​

 

I swear though, if this turns into something right out of the The Breakfast Club, I'm going to go drown myself in the lake, Jude thought before he turned his attention back to Judy and Mr. Tarzan. "Although, if there is a killer here, I would be disappointed if they made a bloody mess out of it. Too noticeable, we'd be able to hear a gun shot easily, or even just someone screaming. If I were the killer in the whole grand scheme of things, I'd just poison the food and kill everyone in the camp." Jude added the last part a bit quieter, remembering how the counselors were nearby, and how authority figures get butthurt easily when it comes to the topic of someone saying they'd kill another person (even if it was a joke).

Laurel stared out the window, drowning out most of her parents warnings and rules. When we get to this place, there will finally be no more constant nagging. She reminded herself as she rolled her eyes. She loved her mom and dad with all her heart, but they were so controlling, always hovering. At last, they pulled into the drive of the camp, if you could call it that. It looked as though it'd been hit by a hurricane, then used as a horror movie set. This caused her parents admonishments to increase, and turn into pleas to stay home. Laurel simply picked up her bags and waved goodbye. Reluctantly, they drove away. "I'll be lucky if they don't come here tomorrow morning to pick me up." she muttered. The camp itself was a mess, but the scenery was nice. The sun shone through the trees like something from a fairy tale.

 

"Hello, and welcome to Camp Sunnybrook!" Laurel turned to look at an over-enthusiastic lady, who was clearly one of the conselors. "Hi, I'm Laurel Hazel. Where do I . . ." she trailed off, hoping the conselor would point in where she would be staying. Laurel said a little prayer that it would be in one piece. "We'll be meeting by the lake until everyone arrives." Laurel nodded, and headed in where she guessed was the lake. Already, there were many people here, none looked remotely familar. Setting her few bags down, she plopped down in the grass. From what she could hear, there was only one conversation worth listening to, a discussion about who would be the killer here. This trip is going to be great. she thought sarcastically.

Katelyn sighed as she soon grew bored with song writing.She noticed some more people had arrived.

Okay Katie just talk to one person at least.. She told herself.

Katelyn sighed and slowly got up making sure her guitar was secure inside it's case.Taking a deep breath she walked slowly up to a blonde haired girl(Laurel)who was sitting in the grass.

"H-hello."She stammered.Katelyn sighed and automatically face palmed herself.

"Um well i just thought i'd get to know some people here,please forgive me i'm not that great with making friends."She explained.

Laurel looked up to see one of the campers. She managed a small smile. "It's ok, I'm not that great at making friends, either. " she added with a small laugh, remembering how she always was the quiet one, having maybe two or three real friends. "I'm Laurel."

 

The girl was similar to Laurel, in having a small frame, light colored eyes, and long hair. But she had brown instead of blonde, and it was loose unlike her's, which was done in a braid, and of course the ends of Laurel's hair were tinted a barely noticable green. The girl was dressed casually, and holding a book bag and a guitar case. This caught her eye. "You play guitar?"
