Posted February 11, 201312 yr It's really common celebration for where I live, it's almost like Halloween except kids are scaring Lady Winter instead of other people. Kids wear all sorts of costumes and go from house to house asking for candy. Sometimes there are also carnivals full of dressed up people. Very common thing are also Shrovetide doughnuts, filled with creamy vanilla, chocolate or apricot jam and covered by sugar or chocolate. So does anyone here celebrate it as well?
February 11, 201312 yr This reminds me of Halloween owO Looking at the name, is it celebrated in Russia?
February 11, 201312 yr You mean Pancake Day? I came home from work today with 15 eggs, 2kg of flour and 6 pints of milk..... what do you think?
February 11, 201312 yr No, but it sounds like something I need to get into. All I have is Imbolc... and there's no candy in that. Edited February 11, 201312 yr by AnsemTheWise
