"Related topics", keep it or not?

Posted

I have enabled a "related topics" display at the bottom of each topic, in each forum except for Website and Introduce Yourself. What do you think, is this feature worth keeping? Are the results too unrelated to be interesting? Is the box too distracting from other elements such as the quick post box and pagination? Or is it a worthwhile addition nonetheless?

Hmm i think it's pretty damn useful

It's a nice idea but I feel the topics are a bit too unrelated. It tends to just bring up a lot of random forum topics and forum game topics from what I've seen. And only once so far have I seen it show something from the same section. If you are able to make the similar topics more related to the topic they're under then I'd say keep it. If not I think it'd be better without it.

I agree, and there's unfortunately not a way to make the topics more relevant (yet).

Yeah, after playing around with this for a bit I think I'll disable it. Sorry everyone.
