So as many of you know KHHD will be released localized this year in the fall. Now many of you are mad and some of us can see the reasoning, here are some top reasons why it will take into the fall. 

 

1.) Re-Dubbing for KH1. 
Let`s face it Sora`s young voice will not match with the new model. And the fact that Sora is 14 in KH1 only proves that he shouldn't sound like a 10 year old, I think it`s a good decision to re-dub his voice. Also Nomura wants to make everything post KH2, so why not the voices?  Ansem, Sora, Kairi, Jiminy, Mickey and whoever had their VA changed will likely be re-dubbed. I think it`s a welcome change minus Mickey  
 

2.) Localization In More Than One Area. 

This HD collection will be dubbed in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian, which means that it will take some time to get ALL languages re-dubbed, dubbed, and in some cases re-casted even. and to get all the translation in there will take some time for 2 games and a whole 3 hour movie. 
 

These are just some I came up with, why do you think it`s taking so long?

my opinion: no re-dubbing because if there would be a re-dub then Re:CoM and Days would be dubbed, too but they will be only English dubbed

 

I think it takes so long because they have to translate Final Mix, Re:CoM and Days in 4 more languages

especially Re:CoM will take time because no translation for Europe exists and they can't use the old one like for KH 1

Really? I agree with Zanyes performence but I like older hailey better, HE ACTUALLY SOUNDS FORTEEN IN KH RE:COM AND KH2. or who knows they may keep the voice or they could even go as far as to re-cast.

*SIGH...* Haley WAS FOURTEEN IN REAL LIFE when he recorded KH 1 Sora, so yes, he sounds EXACTLY like an fourteen year old in KH 1. Changing his original voice would be the WORST decision they would EVER make in the whole series existence. I, along with 99% of everyone else wants to experience the game how it originally was. His voice was unique back then. It's NOT going to happen.

I was referring to the dub for Spanish, etc. Redubbing Sora is stupid.

Its official, the majority of the people want Sora's voice to stay the same. Besides there aren't any extra cutscenes to redub with Sora, save for the one where Sora and Co. find Xemnas in KH 1, but even then they used old recordings for the dialogue(for Goofy and Sora anyway)

KH1 was already dubbed in different languages however. There's not going to be redubbing or dubbing for additional audio tracks.

You also have Re:Com and Days to dub in the different languages. Not just KH1.

 

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix will be dubbed in English, French, and German with EFIGS subtitles. Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Heats 358/2 Days will be English dubs with EFIGS subtitles.

 

The only game confirmed to have anything recorded for it is: 358/2 Days. There has been no word of anything from KHFM or Re:CoM being re-recorded. There has been no word on the cutscenes exclusive to Final Mix being dubbed either.

Why would it be in Japanese all of a sudden?

Mind you, Final Mix used the English audio in the first place and the new scenes only used on-screen text. We'll certainly get a translation of that, it is however unlikely that they record new English audio for those few scenes.

As mentioned above, they confirmed that only KH1 will have other dubs besides English, and that's only because they were part of the original release from over ten years ago.

I'm sure that this will happen with 2.5, too (KH 2 FM with other dubs and the other games only English with EFIGS subs)

but the problem will be the "true new cutscenes"

they were mute during the game, but with japanese dub in the theatre mode and I'm sure that in 2.5 the complete game will be with Japanese audio

For 2.5, they probably will re dub those cutscenes, or just remove the audio altogether. Since the VA's sound the same now as they did in KH 2, it wouldn't be a problem, unlike in KH 1 where the VA's were alot younger and had a little different voices.
