Okay so currently I'm taking a class at college called Writing for Visual Media. We do a lot of things like coming up with concepts for psa's, commercials, tv shows, etc. We also write scripts for them and all that fancy stuff.

My final for that class also involves having to write a 10 paged screenplay (which is basically the equivalent to a 10 minute movie), and I still don't know what to write for it.

Now I know that the final is a looong ways away (actually it's not that far away it's due in like the first week of May). But we have other assignments related to it that are due before hand. For example, I have to pitch my idea to the class on Tuesday and then I have to write up a treatment for it for my midterm.

So I have a few ideas to go with, but I can't choose one. I was hoping you guys could help point me in which direction so I you know, won't fail this class and have to retake it next semester (not to mention paying for it again).

The ideas I have are:

  • Vampire Mailmen: The story follows two distrustful and feral vampires as they are brought into an underground society of vampires in modern day America where they learn to trust and love one another while delivering mail.
  • Lived-Too-Long Vampire: The Back story of one of the vampires in the idea above. The story starts off in Switzerland, where the vampire was born and raised. She dreamt of venturing out, and found escape in a man named Alvar. Little did she know that in order to travel with him she had to give up her morality and learn the world isn't as wondrous as it seemed.
  • Gang Leader: This story revolves around one of my unused rp characters, Colton Gunner. He's a gorgon living in the big city, but due to the climate and civilians, he has no choice but to get himself involved with the darker crowd in order to provide for his quickly falling family.
  • A Man Who Leaps Through Time: This idea isn't well developed, just as a forewarning. A man ventures into the woods surrounding his village one day. When he comes back he sees that 300 years has passed. His family is dead, and he has no idea on how to fit into the new society. Over time he is able to make a new home and family, but due to circumstances he must go back into the forest once more. When he returns, 300 more years has passed, and he begins a new life. This cycle continues until he falls into madness.

so yeah if you guys could help me by offering your opinion on which story i should go with, it'd be much appreciated uwu

(because i really need to get this pitch done holy shit)

The Vampire Mailmen sounds like it could be hilarious but A Man Who Leaps Through Time also looks really good.  The latter sounds like it is close to you since it's so well developed, so I guess it would be up to you if you want to use the story for a school assignment.

The first one sounds really good! In fact, they all do, but I think that for something short and well-developed the first one is a better choice.

The Vampire Mailmen is hilarious, can't say I've ever heard of that scenario lol

I'd have to go with Vampire Mailmen, but only if it's a comedy.

A man who leaps through time could be taken in so many fun and creative directions. Who is responsible for the leaps? Is it all in his head, or real? Is it true time travel or hopping to parallel time streams? So many, many things you could do with it.

The latter is actually a story that my friend abandoned. When I was talking to him about this he said I could use it if I'm stuck for other ideas. As for the Vampire Mailmen, it's actually the back stories of two characters in a story I want to work on once I'm done with my current story, Broken Crown. It also involves other vampire mailmen and conspiracy theories.

Which is one of the reasons why I was apprehensive about going with that story. This is a 10 page screenplay, so I don't have a lot of room to do anything big or grand. I only have room to get my character's story across. If I were to do that story, the reason for the leaps would be hinted at and vague, left for the reader's imagination.

And be sure to include the phrase "going postal". That's gold right there.
