March 4, 201312 yr Tried it; it was boring because I realized they were all either some form of paladin or knight/mage combo. Their skills are too broad to cleanly fit into FF type classes.
March 4, 201312 yr Not really. No one is specialized enough in any one area to really be fit into a job class. Though I suppose if you had to, there would be a lot of Fighters and Red Mages.
March 4, 201312 yr It's kind of redundant tbh. If the KH playable characters were to be put into job classes as is they'd all be "Keyblade wielder" or if we're going more broadly "warrior". We have a few characters that can be qualified as something else like Aqua who's canonically a mage but is still primarily a Keyblade wielder.
March 4, 201312 yr You can sure try! Sora/Roxas- Warrior Riku- Dark Knight...? Aqua- More Magey. White/Black/Red and Paladin/Mystic Knight all mixed? Terra- Warrior/Dark Knight Ventus- Maybe a thief or a ninja, something just for the dexterity? Who knows.
March 4, 201312 yr Although, if you start looking at some of the characters that Sora teams up with... Sora: Paladin Donald: Black Mage Goofy: Knight Aladdin: Thief Beast: Beserker Peter Pan: Dragoon Jack Skellington: Necromancer Ariel: White Mage Mulan: Samurai Jack Sparrow: Ranger

Sora: Paladin Donald: Black Mage Goofy: Knight Aladdin: Thief Beast: Beserker Peter Pan: Dragoon Jack Skellington: Necromancer Ariel: White Mage Mulan: Samurai Jack Sparrow: Ranger Very creative...nice
March 4, 201312 yr Sora would actually be a Blue Mage: Cloud uses charging attack=learns Sonic Blade Clayton uses potions=learns Cure Genie Jafar throws firey boulders=stronger Fire spell Giant Ursula uses lightning=stronger Thunder Hook's sword techniques=learns Ars Arcanum Defeat Phantom by the clock tower=stronger Stop
March 4, 201312 yr I think the characters' abilities have too much variety. They can't be put into classes easily.
March 5, 201312 yr Actually, I have my own spin on things. While most of the characters aren't specialized enough to cleanly fit into FF classes, we can take advantage of FFV's job system. In that system, you can have an assigned job as well as a command from another job if the job is leveled enough. So, it's possible to get a de-facto Red Mage by, say, making your character a Black Mage and giving him/her the White Magic command, assuming you've leveled up the character's White Mage job enough to assign the White Magic command to his/her other jobs. Pretty much everyone is some sort of dual class, but that makes things fun. Sora Main Class: Paladin Sub Command: Black Magic Sora leans towards the Beatrix and Steiner (IX) type knight/paladin than the Cecil (IV) type. Steiner and Beatrix's special commands have moves resembling things like what Ragnarok, Ars Arcanum, and those other nifty light-based attacks would fit into. For simplicity's sake, I'll assume Sora's Cure and Reflect are lumped into this command list, even though they're supposed to be White Magic. His sub class is Black Magic since Sora's magic spells are predominantly offensive. Riku Main Class: Dark Knight Sub Command: Black Magic While Riku's skills don't fit the traditional Dark Knight moveset, which usually focus on debuffing enemies, Dark Knights usually have abilities that sacrifice HP or MP to deal damage. I can assume Riku's mastery over his darkness negates that drawback, allowing him to use those moves freely like in DDD. He gets more conventional magic, but like Sora, is mostly offensive. Kairi Main Class: White Mage Sub Command: ??? We haven't seen Kairi in action enough to deduce a proper class, but given her focus on light, I just assume she's a White Mage. She has some physical prowess but not enough to wow anyone, as is the case with White Mages. Roxas Main Class: Paladin Sub Command: Black Magic Well, Nobody of Sora, so they have similarities, right? Roxas wields his light differently than Sora, but very much so a paladin. He only has Cure as his white magic, so again, it can be lumped into his paladin moveset. His magical capabilities are strong but less refined compared to Sora's, who, in re:CoM, has many applications for his magic. It's no surprise he'll rely on light to maul you into submission. Axel Main Class: Ninja Sub Command: Black Magic It's mainly his weaponry that makes me think NInja, as well as FFV's description for the job being, "Stealthy fighters who excel at surprising enemies and can wield two weapons at once." Yup, very Axel-y to me. I know I keep cheating with the Black Magic sub command but that's just what a lot of characters seem to have. His specialty is fire magic but he can wield the other basic elements if he wishes (if you take Days's command grid into account). Xion Main Class: Blue Mage Sub Command: Mimic Finally, something different! Being a replica, Xion's abilities stem from copying others'. She shares Roxas and Sora's basic moveset for a reason, because she and Repliku have the ability to absorb another's powers for themselves. The mimic command might be a stretch, but if we drive the replica concept harder, maybe it's not so weird. Terra Main Class: Knight Sub Command: Red Magic Terra doesn't wield much light so he'd be more of a knight than a paladin. He can do white and black magic, but since his magic is weak and Red Mages can't access upper tier spells (though Terra can), I decided to give him the Red Magic sub command. And to prevent another Black Magic sub command. Ventus Main Class: Paladin Sub Command: Red Magic A prominent light user compared to Terra and Aqua in that he has light-based commands they don't. His magic stat is better than Terra's, but for the sake of his versatility and the avoidance of another Black Magic sub command, I gave him the Red Magic sub command. Aqua Main Class: Black Mage Sub Command: White Magic Though more physically oriented than Black Mages are supposed to be, Aqua's strength lies in her magic commands. She can support herself but she relies on offensive magic to fight. Mickey Main Class: Paladin Sub Command: Black Magic Aaaaand back to this again. I assume Mickey is more of the Cecil-type paladin than the Beatrix/Steiner-type, utilizing light but mainly relying on his swordsmanship. He's shown to be good with magic, but since paladins traditionally have white magic as part of their moveset, I gave him Black Magic as part of his versatility. Eraqus Main Class: Paladin Sub Command: (Surprise) Black Magic Erqaus may look the part of the samurai, but his moveset suggests paladin to me. Again, offensive magic may be a supplement since paladins are supposed to have white magic at their disposal. Xehanort Main Class: Dark Knight Sub Command: (Sheesh) Black Magic Wielder of darkness, and a damn good swordsman and mage. This time I can cleanly give him black magic because he's shown to use it at a level and power the other characters haven't demonstrated (yet). Sora's gonna need a bigger keyblade. Vanitas Main Class: Dark Knight Sub Command: Summon Another darkness wielder, and his magic can be lumped into a Dark-type moveset since his spells have a dark twist to them. I gave him Summon because his Unversed strike me as how espers/eidolons/GFs/aeons/whatever can be called into battle, though Vanitas never uses them to fight alongside him. Donald Main Class: Black Mage Sub Class: White Mage Though he doesn't seem to have the same finesse as the other magic users, Donald is competent enough of a mage to fight alongside Sora. He mainly uses offensive magic, though he can support others if necessary with Cure. Goofy Main Class: Knight Sub Class: ??? Goofy's attacks are pretty straightforward, and even though he uses a shield, he has the same offensive capabilities as any physically oriented class. His special move could be Guard, a command given to knights and paladins in some of the games. I know there were repeats in skills, but as has been said, the characters are too broad for clean fits.

Could they be put into Final Fantasy job classes?
