They were trying to destroy the world,they both had a girl they loved (Shadow&Maria and Mewtwo&Amber),both became good guys(protagonists)atfer the end of their first appearance.

Mmm... well ok, I accept that. But still I see them different. For example after that Mewtwo just dissapears and goes where no one could find him, but Shadow fights multiple times to save the world. He even risks his life for it. Also Shadow loses his memory, but Mewtwo doesn't.

Unlike Shadow whom which they made him ALIEN????? REALLY???? Black Doom and the entire race of the Black Arms doN'T look like a hedgehog so how does Gerald Robotnik created a hedgehog from those???This like saying Mewtwo is a clone of Mew but he has the blood of a Kangaskhan.

Well I like Shadow's story. Yeah he has an alien's blood, so what? I think it was cool, I like things that I don't expect. True I like better Mewtwo's case, with Mew DNA, but Shadow's not bad.

Lol. In my case what I really love it's that between Shadow and Sonic there is no connection, if they're alike it's just coincidence.

I know now they don't have connection,but if they do that would've gave more focus on an interesting backstory for Sonic.The only thing we know about Sonic it's just he's fast and he fight Eggman......nothing else,what about his family and origins,why is he and Shadow are the only fast hedgehogs(Silver is slow),also....don't forget that in SA2 Rouge told Shadow that two capsules were launched from the Ark to Earth,the second capsule could've been Sonic if Sega decided to write a good compelling story for the following Sonic games instead of using the old tired idea of ALIENS.

alright, i suppose it's just circumstantial, but the memory loss would make more sense if they weren't the same Shadow.  and a perfect clone of Shadow would be able to use super form, as they are essentially the same being.  and it might be just that the Shadow in Sonic Heroes is a clone, and all the others aren't.
