Amazon/Gamestop Pre Order Dates..

Posted

So, I am checking the "release date" on the pre order link for Amazon and Gamestop, and they BOTH say the game will be released Dec. 31st 2013... But I thought the N.A game will be released Sept. 31st 2013.. Typo? What do you guys think?

Everything is a placeholder for now. We'll let you know when an actual date appears.

It probably isn't being released on September 31st, and it definitely isn't December because that's Winter.

But for now, there isn't an official date in any region outside of Japan.

When there is not a specific confirmation date but only a year known they'll put the last day of the year as a placeholder. Not a typo, it's just protocol.

Ditto to what everyone else said....they always do that :)

As everyone else said, typically those end of month dates are place holders.

Also I will tell you right now that it won't come out on September 31st, as September only has 30 days >_>

It's all lies! Secret and lies!

A long time ago when video games were created(not really, but for the sake of the story), there were these dates known as "placeholders." Companies didnt have an exact release date for a game(ex: was told it would release in 2013), so they placed the date on the last day of the year.

Fin.

I don't think either of those dates are accurate.  As others said, it's probably just a placeholder date to say it's "coming soon" because they don't know the actual release date yet.  I know the Mark of Mastery edition said that its release date was Dec. 31st for the longest time, then they changed it to the actual date later.  My guess is it's probably something like that.

Just wait till we get an official release!~

They're just placeholder dates.... omg....

Those aren't the actual release dates.

Okay, thanks guys. I now understand "it is a placeholder."
