Let's face it, there are many plotholes in the KH franchise. But one I don't understand is the return of Master Xehanort.

Yen Sid said that when the heartless and nobody are destroyed, the original returns. Well, Xemnas and The Seeker of Darkness are splintered versions of Terra-Nort, not MX. So wouldn't it make sense for Terranort to return instead?

And also, are Xemnas and Seeker of Darkness in DDD from the timeline where they were alive?

Master Xehanort took over Terra's heart. Since the hearts shapes the body, he looks like Master Xehanort. Most likely.

It could be the same MX from the BBS time period.....just like Ansem and Xemnas are from their time period. There isn't a plothole, the time travel aspect just made things confusing.

Something could've happened after Xehanort (possibly) returned as Terranort, which we have no idea about. There are actually quite a few things that could've happened that resulted in old man Xehanort coming back instead of Terranot.

Also, yes, I believe they are. Otherwise, Xehanort wouldn't have returned in the present time (if he is of the present time and not BBS time, but his statement about his failed plan in BBS wouldn't make sense if he was).

The person we thought was Master Xehanort was actually his twin brother all along.  The real Master Xehanort was hiding in Sora's closet this whole time but will now be leaving it.  Also, he ate Sora's dinner.

You forgot another plot hole.

Riku summoned Kairi's keyblade for her, instead of her doing it herself. Lazy writing right there. -_-

Also, MX is probably Terra-nort now, but im guessing Xehanort probably almost completely overshadowed Terra's heart by now(i mean its been 12 years in the KH universe since they merged, so im pretty sure he's accomplished that by now) and thus, he looks like how he originally did.

I'm not so sure about how Xemnas and Ansem SOD are there. I mean, that should interfere with the timelines of KH 1 and 2, right? That's the one thing in KH now that's really stumped me. All the other time travel things make sense to me, more or less.

It would be a plot hole if KH3 never explains it.

We know from Sora that a heart can shape a body. After he did his sacrifice in KH1, his body was Roxas.

Point is, Master Xehanorts heart came back, and that alone could give him a body. Also, his original body was never destroyed. It could have been in a stasis somewhere, and it came back together with his heart.

Also, Terranort was never a real person. He was a combination of several people. The components didn't belong together, so why would they rejoin? The Master Xehanort component went somewhere, the Terra component went somewhere, maybe Eraqus left Terra also and he's somewhere.

There are a lot of explanations for it, dude.

I still stand by it that there are no plotholes, only unanswered questions.

Im thinking Xehanort is an old man again because when he reformed Terra's body went back to being by itself, but his heart still being connected to Xehanort means he is under is control and will probably be one of the XIII Seekers of Darkness in the new organization...

I have know idea where Terra or Xehanorts heart went when Ansem SOD was defeated but Xemnas represented Terra's body.
