Changes in KHFM from the original game

This is so we know the differences for the HD collection. There are alot more differences than i thought originally, so im more excited.  :DD

 

Some of the differences are:

 

New Abilties like Tech Plus(Increases Tech EXP) and Leaf Veil(Leaf Bracer).

 

Sora's final stats at Level 100 have been significantly tweaked from the original:

In FM, Sora ends up with more HP and 10 extra AP, but loses 10 points for Offense and Defense each. Everything else stays the same for the most part.

 

(The other characters have really small tweaks, so i won't bother)

 

There are 3 extra Ansem reports  that you get from beating the Extra bosses(Kurt Zisa, Sephiroth).

 

Everyone gets new weapons:

Sora:

Sora gets a cool new long Keyblade that rivals Ultima Weapon in power thanks to its amazing Critical Power Boost, and another for magic-lovers that increases his maximum MP more than ever before.

Donald:

Donald's weapons follow a similar path to Sora's.  He gets a new ultimate weapon, with a great critical hit rate that is rare for Donald (only the Critical Mace could deal critical hits before Final Mix), but which doesn't give any MP. Goofy:

Goofy got the worst deal with ultimate weapons, as his new Massive Bumper delivers on attack power and kick, but that's all.  Save the King is probably better. The difficulties have been significantly tweaked:

 

Final Mix: Beginner ------------------------------ 稚叩辰段停蓄鍛誰湛池樽段ー-------------------------------------------------------------------------------An easy game mode designed for those new to games, in which you have rare items from the start and battle conditions are shifted in your favour.- Sora starts the game with a Ribbon, an EXP Necklace, 8 Power Ups, 8 Guard Ups and 4 AP Ups.- The Drill Gummi's Attack Power is 9,999.  (It's usually 35.)- Neither secret movie is shown at the end of the game.- The save file is recorded as FMBG.Final Mix -------------------------------------------------- 稚叩辰段停蓄鍛誰湛-------------------------------------------------------------------------------The recommended level to play Kingdom Hearts on your first play through, the standard difficulty level has a good balance between easy and hard.  Note that it is not the same as the original version of Kingdom Hearts; the game balance has been fine-tuned.- In the Gummi Ship sections, damage from enemy ships is twice that in the original game. Those are the biggest Changes.

Because of the difficulty tweaks, i might try to get 100% on a Beginner mode playthrough rather than a Proud mode one. Also i might choose Shield and give up Rod.

Cool. I can't wait to experience the changes in the fall. And thanks to the stat tweaks, im gonna choose the Sword, and give up the Shield for my 100% playthrough.

Didn't you know about these changes? I thought they were common knowledge.

I would not recommend taking the sword and dumping shield. Its the most difficult combination to play through with and gives no benefits what-so-ever by end game. Shield at least gives extra item slots and staff gives more MP. All Sword gives is Strength which is completely unnecessary since you can make Power Ups and the Ultima Weapon got a power buff.

I knew about the new weapons and stuff... but I didn't know that the stats also changed.

 

Oh, and there's something I don't understand: in KH1 you learn most of the abilities while leveling up, so, if you enable the Zero EXP ability, you don't learn even how to use Block or Scan?

Before I even get this game I already know for my first playthrough i'm gonna to take the shield since it seems the best in terms of the levels you get abilities and items.  

I think I was looking at this (or this information was in the gamefaqs I looked at cause it was much longer) cause I wanted to make a synthesis list for the next items and enemies.

I knew about the extra weapons, extra abilities, the secret boss, and the new difficulties. I didn't know that the end game stats changed and about the extra Ansem Reports though. But that's it.

does anyone happen to know how much ap it takes to use basically all the abilities in the game and how many ap ups there are? well unless you can buy or make them
