The Elder Tree. It has been a fable in every town and land--including yours. A massive tree that rises above the clouds, and rests on the tallest mountain. Many call it a myth, as no one has ever reached the top of the mountain that is said to hold this tree.

Of course, many have tried to reach the top. No one has returned alive.

But what would make such a tree so interesting, besides the bragging rights? It is what is called the Grand Fig. A golden fruit that when split into five parts, grants one wish per part.

This fruit, this Grand Fig, has spurred generations of adventurers to search for it. This is where you come in. You and three others have
come together to search for this fruit, and grant your wish.

Another explanation of the battle system:

Battles, like early Final Fantasy games, are generally split into two phases. The Enemy phase, and the Player phase. In the player phase, you would state your action, and the Enemy phase shows the outcomes of those actions, along with the enemies' response.

For example, say if you attack an enemy. (This is where stats take place) You 'roll' a 5/10, but your strength is 2, and the enemies' defense is 1. (Enemy stats are based upon the ones in Final Fantasy III) So the attack would be 6, and the damage would translate accordingly.

If you need a better explanation, speak to me about it.

Our players:

Player 1: Silver3drago

Player 2: Sora's Baby.

Player 3: Yuffie Kisaragi

Player 4: IItNeverGetsBetterThanThis

Player 5: Sikota Urinako

Player 6: Daniel Black

You all start In Initia Town, where you can all converse and get to learn about one another before the real quest begins. The town has only two notable features: A tavern and an Inn.

~

"Mmph." Silver murmured, his eyes blinking a few times as he began to wake up. He had fallen asleep on a bar stool within Initia Town's Tavern. Again.

"Did I fall asleep..?" He muttered to himself, looking around the place. Slowly it came back to him-- he had arrived in town not too long ago for some quest, and then he quickly found himself unconscious in a shady tavern. "My head hurts like...gah..." Silver complained rubbing his forehead as pain quickly took over. He looked to the red marking on his arm, glancing at it once before looking away.

Derik was sitting at the bar, listening to Silver complain about a hurt head. He turned to him and handed him a pill. He was-of sorts-a bit of a medicine man. He was holding a cup of coffee. It was early in the morning, and he needed a hot cup just to wake up. He counted the cups to the side of Silver, making a note to himself. "Thirty five shots? Well, party goers are the type to roll into a good tavern like this."

Yawn..... that was his first act in the morning. He slowly opened his eyes looking at the place around him. The wooden floor and beds, tables, and roof. He get up sooner as he reacted to. "Mmmmp... Well that was a good night, I suposse." His name was Evan, looking at him, you couldn´t expect him to be a warrior or something. In fact he wasn´t, he was a begginer with the lance after all. He put his clothes on him again, at took a look by the window. The morning rays shining across the buildings on Initia Town. It was a small town, but as he travelled for around one week, a stay on a Inn was too nice.

"Well time to get moving" he said as he opened the door of his room, walked a little and then he down on the staircase. On the first floor, a counter with a vase with yellow flowers up ther and a sign saying: I´m out if you leave, please left the keys on the counter. If you arrive, register yourself in the book and take the keys on the counter, if there are.

What a responsible man, he thought for a moment. He left the keys on the place and opened the main door, leading to the stone streets. It was a good day after all.. "Well i need to train some more... if not, I´m not gonna get Gil for the night."

Lea walked in the Tavern. She sat down next to Silver. "Hey,bud." She said not even looking at him.

"Heh." She thought. "weak."

She sighed."Hey Barky I need a drink." She told the Bartender.

Assyria walked into the tavern in Initia Town. Supposedly, this was the best place to start a search for the Grand Fig. She sat on a seat next to Derik. She didn't say a word to her neighbor, speaking directly to the bartender. "A hot cider if you will." She said quickly. Gaining the drink, she grabbed it with two hands. Silently, she sipped a little.

Silver lifted his head at the sight of a red-headed person sitting down next to him. The person acted and look slightly boyish, but her voice said otherwise. Silver shook his head, facing the other way to see the mound of shot glasses.

Oh. That's where the headache came from. Silver thought, remembering that he had, indeed, drank a large amount of beverages the night before. Some of them were the bartender's 'specialty' and were probably the cause of Silver's unintended sleep and headache.

"Well, hi." Silver then said, his attention returning to the girl beside him.

Lea felt her face grow hot. "Don't look at me!" She told him.

She felt her herself turn away and try to hide her blush. "I'll take anything." She said.

A drink was sled to her she picked up and drank the whole glass. "Uhn~ That's still not worth it!"

Silver was taken aback by the girl's sudden outburst, completely confused as to what had just happened. He looked away at her request though, still wondering what exactly he had done to make her react that way.

Alright... He thought, nearly knocking over the tower of shot-glasses. The bartender moved to stop them though; taking the mass of them to clean them later. Silver sighed at that. He had come to this town for answers regarding a fig, yet all he had done so far was get drunk and get yelled at by someone he didn't know.

"What a wonderful way to start this.." He murmured.

Derik poked Silver, handing him a notepad with the words "Good morning. Hope you slept it all off. Sorry, but I'm not the most talkative person, but I do like to write messages. Anyway, onto business. I am assuming that you are here for the Fig?" Scribbled out onto it.

Evan walked across the main street, well in fact the only street. Initia Town was a small town in middle of a great valley, one of that so called "nowhere points" why he was there?...The Fig.

"Oh right! I had to check on the tavern! He remembered as he asked a guy in the Inn yesterday about where to gather information. Remembered this, he began to ran around the street, near the town´s entrance there was a kinda... business. The Sign "Initia´s Tabern" was a clear "Here is!".

He opened the door and entered inside, for being morning it was dark... you could smell the aroma of beer and wine around. He took a look around seeing the bartender and four people on the bar....

"mmm..." Who can I ask about it? he thought as he began to walk to the bar.

"The Fig??" Lea asked."I know of it. It's why I came." She said.

She looked at Silver."I'm sorry." She said to him her face still red.

Silver nodded. "So, we're all here for the fig, then? Wow..." Silver said, looking to Derik and then Lea with a bright smile; his red and green eyes shinning a bit, as if his very happiness was radiating from his eyes. Or maybe it was just the light.

"Well, if that's the case...why don't we join up on this? Most of the people I've heard about that did this went solo, or in very big groups. I'd say that a small group would work fine...though I would rather we have a few extra people." Silver looked around pulling on his scarf a bit as he went.

Assyria sipped her apple cider, listening in on the conversation next to her. "If you are going to find the fig, I wish to go along with you." She said, looking over at the three. Assyria twirled her dagger on the bar counter. "You could use some speed and stealth where you're going." She was glad to find another party that wanted to find the fig.

The hooded young man sitting at the bar spoke up. "If you're chasing the fig. You will take me with you. My magic will otherwise aid you, or eliminate you should you get in my way."

Derik scribbled out "I've seen him shoot lighting at people, its freaky, but powerful. And I'd rather not have thunder hitting me today. Take the deal"

"Hey! Are you all looking for the Fig?" Evan asked to the group when they began to talk about it. "If you are going for it, I´ll like to go with you!" He asked confident. For the first time in weeks he met someone else with the same goal as him, also, fighting alone was becoming more risky everyday.

Silver smiled, and nodded. "Sweet! So that's what, six of us?" Silver asked, mentally counting everyone who was present. "Seems like a decently sized party to me! If everyone's certain about it, then let's get this show on the road!" Silver pumped his fist into the air, enjoying the excitement maybe a little too much.

"I'm a black mage though. I guess it would be good to say what we do first, get to understand everyone's skills, right?" Silver asked, grinning from ear-to-ear.

"Well... I don't talk much, so conversation isn't my strong-suit, but I'm a very skilled fighter. I have low defensive skills, but anyone I've sparred with says my strength makes up for it." Was scribbled out on the paper.

"I'm pretty even all around, but I'm a spell sword. Just like my brother." Lea said.

She held up her sword." Isn't is cool?" She asked.

"I was training to become a dragoon... but well... " he said as he pulled out a 30 cm. tube from his bag, then he pushed a button, making it larger and larger with a point on the upper extreme. "Heheh practical to transport, isn´t it?"he said.

"I think that's enough of getting acquainted with each other. My name is Tactus. Tactus Octavian." He exited his seat and made his way to the door. He paused. He slumped with hesitation and embarrassment. "Which way are we to go?" He reluctantly asked.

Derik walked over to Tactus, and scribbled down "Name is Derik Absolon. And we should start due north of the town, from what I can tell, the giant tree in that direction would be the place."

Silver peered over at Derik's scribble. "Yes. I've been told that tree leads into a mountain, which is supposedly some massive dungeon or whatever. I guess nobody said it would be easy getting to the fig." Silver sighed. "But it's good to see we're all varied. It'll give us an awesome strategy for sure!"

Silver stood up on his barstool -much to the tender's displeasure-, and pumped his fist into the air, "So let's go do this guys, let's nab ourselves that fig!"
