Welcome to the Meeting Lands (RP)

All righty then, let the fun begin:

The Meeting Lands, a world ocupied by all sorts of video game characters, both the well known and the obscure. Every year, a new wave of characters are transported to this strange world with no memory of how they got there. This story chronicles the experiences of these new arivals; their triumphs, their failures, their discoveries, and for some of them, their deaths. This is their story:

Greyson, Rallen, Fixer, Xion, and the Alchemist arrived in an old abandoned inn. The floor creaked, and there was a thick layer of dust over everything. In a the middle of the entrence room were five backpacks, each with a sleeping bag as well as food and water to last them each about a day. The inn was in a thick forest, surrounded by trees. There was a path that led out from the inn, which then branched off to the left and right. How far they were from civilization was impossible to tell.

Logan, Revan, Laura Croft, Kat, and the Gardener arrived in a small cave in mountains, over looking a little villege. Also in the cave was some rope and five envalopes, each having one of these peoples names on them. The could hike down to the villege, but the terrain was very trecherous. There was also a path that led higher up the mountain, but what lay beond it was still unknown.

Pit, Jade Curtiss ,Yuffie Kisaragi, Madara Uchiha, and Zack Fair arrived in the sewers of the biggest city in the Meeting Lands, Alaria. They were all laying on a pathway of stone next to the river of sewage. Next to them were two flash lights, two radios, and two money purses. There was no nearby exit, so the only ways to go were  either left or right.

Dyme, Chell, Luke Fon Fabre, Hubert Oswell, and Steve arrived in a small shack in the middle of a swamp. Inside the shack were two mediom sized bags filled with food and water, and two pairs of night vision goggles. It was the middle of the day, but it wouldn't be for long. When night fell, these goggles would become very usefull. The shack was on top of a small island surrounded by swamp water and other islands much like it. There was no telling what dangers were inside of that water. There were bridges that connected the islands. Two such bridges were on the island they were on, one to the left, and one to the right. All of the other land masses seemed to lead to one of these two bridges, but not both.

All of these four groups have to choose one of the two paths. The question is, which of these groups will stick together, and which will split up?

See? That's why we can't advance in Revelations. The time that I did with my character was pretty much filler and non-relevant to the story in its entirety.

"And in the end, as the darkness takes me, I am nothing. Now I know how you felt, my friend."

Revan said these words as the Sith Strike Force closed in around him. He closed his eyes, ready to except his fate. Seconds passed. Nothing happened. He opened his eyes to see that he was in a cave. He ignited his Lightsaber, the purple glow illuminating the scenery. He stretched out with the Force, but felt no danger.

At least not yet.

He turned off his saber and moved over to a wall. He used it for support as he got down in a cross legged sitting position. He placed his Lightsaber in his lap, for easy reach. He pulled off his hood, then removed his mask. He felt old and tired. Fatigue and what wounds he had sustained urged him to sleep, but he hadn't the time. But some meditation would help.

He placed his mask beside him and pulled his hood back up. He closed his eyes and entered a Force trance, knowing he would awake if anything approached.

Kat kicked off another boulder that was being sucked into the gravity storm and got the small child onto the ground. "There you go.' she said but the storm got the stronger and the child fled off into the crowd of people. Kat illuminated in red light and she tried to drift away from the gravity storm to avoid getting sucked in but she was too close and her power suddenly canceled out. Everything flashed before her eyes and she hit her head hard on a flat surface. "Ow.."she muttered and felt something fall on her back. "Dusty?" she said. The cat simply meowed and hopped off her back. Kat sat upright and rubbed her head. What happened, she thought, where am i. It seemed to be some kind of cave she stumbled into. Dusty seemed to be confused also but his eyes started to glow red. "What's wrong?" Kat asked the feline but looked over to see that they were not alone

Fixer was walking down one of the grand halls in the Council Chambers on Coruscant. Scorch and the Boss were in front of him as usual with their helmets removed as all three made small talk with one another.

"It doesn't feel right without Sev." Remarked Scorch.

"We had no choice. Orders were orders." Fixer immediately replied back. He looked at the Boss. He said nothing as the memories of Kashyyyk were flooding back to him. Fixer let off a heavy sigh. "Don't blame yourself sir." No reaction. "This is war. We had to do what we had to do." A moment of silence passed before Scorch decided to pipe up again. "And to just think, I was catching up to him in kill counts." Even without the radio, you're still quite the chatterbox.  Fixer looked down at the red carpet that they were walking on when a flash of light filled his view. Everything went black.

Fixer woke up and realized that he was laying on the ground. The red carpet and grand atmosphere was replaced with a dark surrounding and apparently wooden flooring. He immediately got up and looked around, activating his night vision with his DC-17 shouldered ready to shoot anything that moved. He examined his surrounding, making sure the coast was clear before patting his backpack with his left hand. All the weapon attachments were there as well as the ammo. He then tried for the helmet radio, which miraculously ended up back on his head as not a moment ago he had it between his left arm and body.

"This is Fixer to Deltas. Respond." Nothing...

"This is Four-oh to Advisor, please respond." Still nothing...

"This is RC -1140 Commando to any nearby Republic forces, respond immediately!" Still nothing...

With his weapon still shouldered, he took a closer look at his surroundings while aiming down the holo sights. It was dusty, so he realized that this place was abandoned. A lone window revealed a lush forest just outside the building and the light that passed through showed five backpacks with basic survival supplies. Could be someone's. He thought to himself before making a beeline towards the front door. Against his instincts and training, he first reached for the doorknob and twisted it. It opened and revealed the outside. He did some thinking and decided that waiting outside was the best option. He didn't want to startle the owners of the backpacks as he assumed that they were nearby. Checking again to make sure the coast is clear, he pulled out a holo computer to try and figure out just where the hell he was. The computer showed an error. "Unidentified World" he muttered to himself as he looked out towards the trees. "Doesn't look like Kashyyyk." He stayed near the entrance of the inn and kneeled, staying ever vigilant against whatever would want to harm him.

A low groan escaped the SOLDIER 1st class as he shifted.  He extended a hand, only to land it in a puddle of cold water.  What the--?  This caused Zack to bolt awake, his vision slightly bleary and his head in a bit of a daze.  Around him were what appeared to be sewers.  Cold, dank, desolate, foreboding; these were the things that the sewer reeked.  And Zack didn't like it.  Not one little bit.

"Yeesh, teach me a lesson to stop trying to ask ladies out on the job,"  Zack murmured faintly, rubbing his head.  His memories fled back to where he'd just met with his fellow comrade, Cissnei.  While he remembered seeing her smiling face and friendly gesture, he couldn't remember what she'd said--if anything.  And, the more he thought about it, he had no clue how he'd gotten there either.

He started to rise, though halted when he noticed the three figures nearby: a kid with wings, a guy with long, bronzy hair, and a girl, who looked incredibly familiar...  But, it couldn't be...

"No way," Zack mumbled, crawling over towards the young female ninja.  "It can't be...  Yuffie?  That you?"

Logan sat in his warm bed, Lissa's body was warm as he had slightly awoken to the sound of birds in the distance. "Its early." He though, then, he started to open his eyes, only to find himself in a cave, Lissa's warmth only quickly deteriorating as he felt the cold hard ground replace the goose down bed he had shared for some years now with his lovely wife. He quickly sat up, looking around, he could only find a rope and a stack of letters-one addressed to him-lying on the floor. He went over to the cave mouth, seeing a town in the distance, followed by harsh terrain of a mountain below. "Back... Back to fighting? I thought... I thought... Since Grimia was dead, all the fighting was over, but now what? Was the Fell Dragon trying to resurrect itself somehow?" He looked to the others sitting in the cave, no familiar faces, all of them just kinda lying there, except one with an odd stick in his hand meditating. "Most-likely armed, and I sad to say did not get a chance to get my own weapons. I would not chance a talk with him..." Ht thought, then a girl sprang through a peculiar hole with a cat like the night's sky. The hole closed up, and she seemed to be awake. "Hello, friend. What business do you have here? If possible, tell me what reason we are here."

~Meanwhile~

"Okay, Lady Palatenua, its time for me to come back an-" Pit screamed as he was flung through the air, Palatenua, gasped saying it was no one's doing, and that she couldn't stop this, Dark Pit attempted to slow Pit's erratic flight, but he was only knocked away, pit dissipating as if he were defeated."Lady Palatenua!!!" Pit hit the floor, smashing head first into a concrete troth like thing before passing out.

Cell woke with a start. She could only remember the Companion Cube, Cake, and the portal gun hitting her head... The portal gun!? Chell looked around, cake stuck to her now long and well kept hair as she looked around for it... "Oh, there you are!" Shell had a very oddly seductive voice... Not the time for that... "She still fits like a glove. Its been what... a half a year since I saw you last. She looked around for Companion Cube, finding it was covered up by boxes. "Well, nice to see your boxing, but enough playing around..." The Companion Cube sighed. "You know, your puns get very annoying from time to time."

"Whatever." Chell st down on it, which it only griped about in a annoying tone until she just sat on another box.

!Next!

Greyson's head hurt. The last memory he had was of telling his faithful Charazard to use Blast Burn on Gold's Typloshion. He sat up, checking his Pokeball belt. "None? How can I go out without any Pokemon?" I can't even leave the town without one! CRAZY OLD OAK WILL FIND ME! AHHHHHHHH!" He was freaking out, when he saw someone looking at an odd screen. "Oh! Hi! Pardon, but I would like to know where the nearest Pokemon Center is. You wouldn't happen to know, would you?" He asked Fixer.

"Who the hell are you?!" Luke yelled at the young woman named Tear. He charged her with his sword and was vaguely aware of Master Van yelling something at him right before his weapon clashed with the girls. He stared down at their swords as they began emitting a soft glow. A voice filled the air around Luke, or perhaps it was only in his head. "Not that weird voice again..." He was then surrounded by a blinding light...

Luke slowly sat up. He looked around, a slight frown on his face. When he saw his surroundings he leaped to his feet, looking to and fro, his expression now one of alarm. "Wha... Where am I? This isn't the manor!" He jumped back upon noticing the other people around him; he had never seen any one them before. Luke gripped his hair with both hands. "What is going on?!" he demanded of no one in particular. "Why am I not in the manor?! Who are all of you people?!"

Revan opened his eyes, his minded clearer than before. He felt the other two figures arrive, but not how they did. It was not through the Force, so it must some sort of technology.

"I'm guessing neither of you are responsible for bringing me here." he stated.

Revan stood up, grabbing his mask in his off hand as he rose.

"Pity. I was hoping for answers."

With the back of a hand, he pushed his hood back.

"Do either of you know what world this is?"

"Hey, at least you know where you were last! And you have legs, too." The Companion Cube griped. "Cube, leave the nice man alone." Chell's face softened. "Hello, My name is Chell. And you know about as much as I do. The last thing I remember is a party with a cake and this." She gestured to the Portal Gun. "Falling on my head."

I was hoping for answers."With the back of a hand, he pushed his hood back."Do either of you know what world this is?"

"For being more conscious than us before, I would figure you would be the one to know more. I was last in my bed, enjoying a early wake up with my wife, and now I'm here." Logan scratched his chin. "Tell me: What dark energy drives you? I can sense it like that of a vampire to a fresh cut."

Luke stared wide eyed at the talking cube. "Wh...WHY is a CUBE talking to me?!" After staring at the cube for a moment Luke turned his gaze on the woman before him his expression slightly more calm, though he still looked somewhat alarmed. "Yeah, yeah, it's nice to meet you too. I'm Luke fon Fabre." Luke looked around the shack, bewildered. "So you have no idea where we are? Ugh, this doesn't make any sense at all!" Luke glanced back at the cube. "And why was that cube talking to me?!"

The poker face Revan was giving Logan cracked slightly at the mention of a wife. Memories of his own wife, now some three hundred years dead and gone, filled his mind. He pushed the memories aside. He still felt a need to mourn, but this was not the time or place for that.

Revan's neutral expression was back in place for Logan's question. He responded with a slight chuckle, laced with sadness and regret.

"Let's just say darkness and I have had more than a nodding acquaintance in the past."

He fell silent for a moment, then added,

"I might have let it influence me too much lately, as well."

He clipped his Lightsaber to his belt and hid his mask on the recesses of his robes.

"I am Revan, formally of the Jedi Order."

He watched Logan's face for any hint of recognition for the things he said, but did not believe he would find any. From his garb and weapons, Revan guessed that Logan came from a world that was far from achieving space travel.

Luke stared wide eyed at the talking cube. "Wh...WHY is a CUBE talking to me?!" "And why was that cube talking to me?!"

"The better question is 'What is wrong with your hair'." Cube responded back.

"I dunno. Normally, he only talks to me. And what doesn't make sense is what this thing dose." Chell pointed to the floor, shot a blue portal, then an orange one under Cube. "It generates portals to other places in space. Kinda like a door to a certain place in space."

"Whipee, now that your done showing Sir Gells Alot how the gun works, can you let me sit on the floor?"

Annoyed, Chell sent Cube through a never ending loop.

"You... Ker... Et... Me... Ou-... KILL..." Chell grabbed Cube, then activated the Portal canceling stop button, erasing the Portals off the floor. "That's it: No more cake for you Chell!"

Chell screamed and threw the Cube into the wall. "NEVER THREATEN MY CAKE PRIVILEGES!"

"My name is Logan, and Jedi? Odd. In my lands, Ylissie, that word is used to describe pregnant donkeys. And by chance, what land do you hail from? You are certainly not Feroxi or Pelegian. And your garb suggest you travel in extreme speeds, something Valm can only achieve through a chain of horses, but you lack the proper gear to ride a horse. And that odd... Stick... Why would you strap it to a sheath like that? it lacks any form of blade!" Revan's movements and actions confused Logan to no end.

Jade opened one eye; his eyesight blurry as he lazily looked around. He opened the other, his eyesight eventually coming back to him as his mind returned to the world of the living. With that, he jolted forward, realizing he was leaning on a dank, wet wall.

He was in a sewer, surrounded by an oddly dressed girl, some kid with spiky hair, and a guy with wings.

"Not the weirdest company I've had." Jade muttered, fixating the glasses resting on his face. He looked to the only person awake so far-- the spiky kid. Jade frowned. "Your hair...it reminds me of a certain doofus I once met. Hopefully you won't share his cranial capacity either. I've had enough whining for one lifetime." Jade commented, rising from his spot. The area reeked of things rather left unmentioned, and then Jade realized...he had no idea how he had even got there. One moment he was doing a field report on what remained of Eldrant, and the next-- he woke up here.

"Now, would someone kindly tell me where we are? Or is this the kind of story where no one does?"

(Logan: But whyyyyy! *cries*)

A frown furrowed Zack's brows as he crossed his arms, eyeing Jade skeptically.  "Hey, yeah, nice to meet you too," he said scornfully.  Really, the first thing that comes out of your mouth when you meet a stranger is "Your hair...it reminds me of a certain doofus I once met."  To Zack, that was just utterly rude.  "Depending on who you are, I might be a doofus and I might not.  But, either way, the name's Zack Fair, SOLDIER 1st Class."  He couldn't help but grin arrogantly at the fancy title he sported.  Holding out a gloved hand to shake Jade's, he asked, "So what's your name?"

Jade smiled. "You seem proud of that title, Zachary. My name is Colonel Jade Curtiss, Commander of the 3rd Division in the Malkuth Imperial forces." Jade showed a toothy grin at that, his title giving a sense of satisfaction. If there was once thing he loved, it was teasing the younger generation. He then took Zack's hand, shaking it once.

"I believe you also know another of our troupe. Excellent, that will cut our introductions considerably." Jade said, looking about the sewer-way. "So, Zachary, do you have a clue as to our current location?"

((I was asleep...))

Lara was asleep on the ship that had finally picked them up. After it all, she deserved to fall asleep.

And that she did...only to wake up...In another firetrucking cave.

Up and Magnum Pistol out, she blinked in the darkness before lighting her torch.

She was not alone.

Raising her pistol, she backed up a bit.

"Who are you?" She demanded. Then she noticed an envelope with her name on it. Her survival instincts kicked in, and she dropped the torch and snatched the envelope, gun still raised. She also grabbed rope; she might need more.

She waited for an answer before she'd open the envelope.

Xion woke up in a bed.

It was a very pathetic bed which creaked as she stood up.

"Roxas? Axel?" She frowned before summoning her Keyblade. The silver and gold weapon burst to life, and she headed out.

"Hello?" She called, wondering if anyone was here. "Anyone here?"

Revan was about to answer Logan when Lara started pointing guns. Held up his hands in a non-threatening manner.

"I'm Revan and this is Logan." he replied to the startled survivor.

Revan took a second to study the weapon the young woman held. It might be a blaster, but not a design he was familiar with.

"We woke up here too. Now, please lower your weapon before it goes off. If it will help you calm down, you can keep it in your hand."

He stopped and waited for Lara's reaction, but another thought burned for attention. He looked over at Logan.

"Jedi really means pregnant donkeys where you're from?" he asked, a hint of humor in his voice.

Luke stalked over to the cube and lifted it from the ground, his expression one beyond irritation. "There's nothing wrong with my hair! You're the one who's got something wrong with it; you're a TALKING CUBE!" Luke continued to glare at the cube for a moment then he looked back at Chell over his shoulder. "I don't see what the big problem is, I don't see any cake around here." Luke frowned, he looked around the shack. He couldn't help but wish that he was home, where he knew everyone and there weren't any cubes that talked. But he was slightly excited to be out of his manor, still he wished he knew how he got there. Luke's gaze fell on a door. "Hey uh... Chell, right? I'm gonna go see what's out there."

Lara took a deep breath, lowereing the gun. She holstered it, keeping a wary eye on them before ripping open the envelope and looking inside.

"Lara." She said briefly, looking at them. "And why the hell are we talking about pregnant donkeys?" She asked, crouching down to pick up her torch and spread the contents of the envelope on the ground.

Revan lowered his arms and gave a shrug.

"Just the joys of learning what words you know mean in other cultures." he replied.

He gave her and her equipment a once over. She could be a spacer who got stranded some where, but her tech seemed wrong. No vibro weapons could be seen and the more he looked at her other weapons, the more he was sure that they were slug throwers rather than blasters.

His gaze lingered on the envelope Lara was looking through. He glanced at Logan and saw he had one as well. Revan walked over to the small cash of envelops and found one with his name on it.

"At least we were expected." He mumbled.

(I can already tell Jade and Zack are going to be having a lot of fun *smirks*)

"Huh, Zachary?!"  Zack's eyes widened and he shook his head frantically.  "No, no, it's Zack.  Z-A-C-K"--he spelt the name for emphasis, tracing the letters in the air with his finger--"Only my mom was allowed to call me Zachary when she was angry.  As for you, Mr. Jade Curtis, never heard of you before, or the forces you come from, for that matter."  Pausing, Zack glanced around the sewers.  They were dank and depressing, with hardly any light penetrating the empty darkness around them.  Slowly Zack rose, testing his knees slightly before going into full repetition of squats.

"And honestly, I was kinda hoping you'd know where we were," he admitted.  "Unless this is the great ol' sewer system of Midgar--which I kind of doubt--I can say I'm as good as lost.  Actually"--Zack's face fell, a blank expression replacing his contagious grin--"I've no idea how I even got here.  Do you?"

(All right, I'll switch out your characters. Just remember, Rallen won't have his ship with him. Only the weapons, spectrobes, and other things that he had on hand when he dissapeared.)

(Instead of saying what happened to Dyme before he came to the meeting lands, I'll show you.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BN3vgX6tiA

Dyme's eyes opened, revealing that he was in a small wooden shack. [Wait, I'm not dead? Im not dead! Could I be... could I be a person again?] He then noticed two other people nearby. One was a girl that looked a few years older than him, and a guystanding next to a large cube. [Where am I, and who are these people?] He thought.

(By the way, you guys are doing a great job so far. You guys can have your characters set off as soon as they're done aquainting themselves with each other.)

(wow you guys move fast)

Kat saw more people appear and she got up on her fee and dusted dirt f her legs. I would probably ask one of them where we are, but they probably don't know either, she thought. "Um..hi. I'm Kat" she said. Dusty walked up behind her with an envelope with her name written on it. She took it from the cat and looked at it. "But..expected by who?" she asked.

Jade placed a hand onto his glasses, the other arm supporting the first."All I recall is doing desk work revolving around a mass known as Eldrant...when I woke up here." Jade said, looking down to the still unconscious duo on the floor. "I've come to the conclusion, though, that you are not of my world, nor are we in each others world. I'm assuming this due to you mentioning a place known as 'Midgar', and the fact no place that I know of holds a sewer management system of this magnitude." Jade said, sighing.

He began to pace about the small area, lost in thought. "But prepare yourself Zachary. You claim to be a soldier, then do it. See to the two others with us." Jade commanded. He swept his left arm over his right, a blue spear suddenly forming in his palm.
