Oh, I ought to read this...

Sadly, my major problem is the whole 'I don't want to confess my feelings' thing. Thankfully, my own relationship seems to be going very well~

I'm glad that you took the time to read the topic.  Thank you very much. :)

The funny thing is, I'd practice all of these things and more, hell I'd probably give you some more pointers even, but one problem...

Yeah... I've never had a girlfriend.

Yeah... I've never had a girlfriend.

Don't worry, I know that you'll find your ray of sunshine.  The best thing about love is that you get it when you least expect it.  You'll find your girl, I know you will. :D

Well that is a nice way.

I personally am blessed to have someone who loves me even after this happened

Hey everyone, how's it going?  You know, a lot of people have asked me how my Dearly Beloved girlfriend Inori and I have been able to solve our problems since we almost never fight, and I always say because the trust and love we have for each other is what allows us to have a good relationship.  And so, I'm making this topic to offer some tips on how to have a good relationship with your loved one.

  • First, you must earn the person's trust.  When you have trust, the foundation for the relationship becomes increasingly strong, and it helps to build character in one's own self.  By having trust in your relationship, you can be able to tell the person you love anything without feeling nervous or shy.
  • Be a good listener.  Always listen to what the person you love has to say.  Either it be about the person's personal problems, or simply the person's feelings, always listen to what he/she has to say.  By being a good listener, you are guaranteeing her/him that you worry and care about them.
  • Always accept when you've done something wrong.  There are times when couples fight.  No matter how perfect a relationship can be, there shall sometimes be a fight.  Whether you or the person were the ones that started the discussion, admit that your wrong, and don't resort to violence, and that way, you'll be able to solve your problems.  Discuss the problem and do what you can to solve it as soon as possible.
  • Always be there to comfort and encourage.  There are times when the person you love feels lost and sad, with no one to run to.  in those cases, show the person you love that your there to help them cope with their pain, and let that person know that you'll always be there for her/him, and encourage the individual with kind words, words of triumph and confidence.
  • Be loyal always.  Show the person you love that you truly want to protect and be there for him/her.  Show them the devotion and integrity you want to put into the relationship, and prove your loyalty.  You'll feel confident and happy for being a loyal person.
  • And last but not least, always say I love you.  When times are tough, and when you see that the world is blackening around you, when you find yourself teetering on the edge of darkness, say those three words.  By saying I love you to the person you love, you give them hope, and a sense of security, and a feeling of passion and trust that forms a strong bond that can never be broken.  Always say I love you, in good times, and in bad times.  Always be a refuge for the person you love, and be there to comfort him/her in the best and worst of times.  Because at the end of the day, love can triumph over everything.

And so, those are the tips I have for you.  Thank you for taking the time to read.  God Bless you all! ^_^

Amen to you dude ^_^

  • 3 weeks later...

Single and proud, plus I've already met my great love, Skyrim!

I bet this works for a lot of people, and it sounds lovely, but all of my relationships have ended because a person has done too much of this (in my opinion).  Maybe I'm just a horrible person. I'm usually a very happy person, and I don't have 'personal problems' that affect me emotionally, so I hate it when people constantly ask my 'true feelings'. Just because I love someone doesn't mean I want everything between me and him to be some kind of epic drama story. So, not that you shouldn't listen to your boy/girlfriend/lover/whatever when they do want to talk about something important, but just know that sometimes it's okay to just have silly banter and flirtatious chitchat.

Ugh, sorry for the rant, it's just happened to me way too many times.

Good thing most of this comes naturally. I'll have to remember to check back here whenever I can though.
