Why was the Organization searching for the Chamber of Awakening while they were at Castle Oblivion? There's many hints given to the fact that the real reason the Organization even went to Castle Oblivion was to find the Chamber of Awakening, but most of the members were most likely informed that it was just their new base. For example, at about 6:26, listen to what Saix says to Axel...

Its obvious that the Organization was looking for the Chamber of Awakening, and most likely the one in it, Ventus. But here's where my main questions are raised... What do they hope to achieve by finding the Chamber of Awakening? What did they plan on doing with Ventus and how did they even find out Ventus was there? The only one that knew was Aqua, and not even Terra did. Perhaps Xemnas might have known where he was at because he is essentially Terra's nobody (Terranort's Nobody), but Aqua didn't even tell Terra that she put Ventus there because when she saw Terra in Birth by Sleep, his body was already controlled by Master Xehanort. Could that possibly be the reason why Xemnas was talking to Aqua's Armor in the Chamber of Repose? If so, how would she be able to tell him through her armor?

He may have searched for it but only Aqua can find it so it's useless to try.

In KH2 Final Mix, there's a cutscene where Xemnas goes into a secret area that leads to a chamber that looks near identical to the Chamber of Awakening, and this is called the Chamber of Repose. It was created by the apprentices after they banished Ansem the Wise, and its believed to have a link to the Chamber of Awakening (Waking).

oh hey fans of kh who didnt play kh2fm will know what the chamber of repose is after kh2.5 i almost forgot that fans who havent played kh2fm would be like wtf? at the cutscene with axel and saix

I don't know how he new about the chamber but if he knew Ven was there, maybe he planed on using him as a vessel like the original Xehanort did all those years ago before Ven went with Eraqus. Ven wouldn't give in to the darkness but maybe without a heart to interfere it would be easier to use him that way.

But to the TC, the Organization wasn't looking for the Chamber. Only Xemnas was -- nobody else knew about it. Xemnas had Axel look for the Chamber while the other members continued their research on memories. But Saix and Axel had a secret plan of their own, and they were going to use the Chamber to blackmail Xemnas after they found it.

But they never found the Chamber, so their plan fell through. That's because only Aqua can find the Chamber, since she's the only who created it.

 

As for why Xemnas wanted the Chamber. It's because Xehanort needs 13 vessels to fill with darkness, and Ventus's empty body would be a perfect vessel. That's all that Xemnas wanted. We know from "KHIIFM" that Xigbar has overheard Xemnas speaking to Aqua's armor in the Chamber of Repose, so it's likely that Xemnas somehow learned of Ventus and the other Chamber from Aqua's armor.

Xigbar's line about the 'other friend' certainly gives some indication they have a hunch.

I'm not sure that was Xemnas' intention with Ven. I'm pretty sure it was Terra, not Xehanort, who was sending Axel countless times to Castle Oblivion.

Probably because Ven is currently a perfect vessel for Xehanort. that or he wants Vantias back.  Either way getting Ven would further his plans immensely!

We don't know. They never got that far in their plans.

But we know for a fact that Saix didn't trust Xemnas at all, and that he wanted the "upper hand" against him. He says so in "Days", when he explains to Axel why he wanted to find the Chamber.

Terra has no control over Xemnas's body. We learned that in "Dream Drop Distance".

It's been a while, but I vaguely remember there being a way for Aqua, Terra, and Ventus to find each other and/or for Xehanort and Eraqus to find them.On a side note, I just realized that I couldn't watch the fully animated 358/2 Days movie without bawling like a baby if the chunky pixel-tastic DS game made me do it.

I want to know whose voice Xigbar heard talking back to Xemnas in the Chamber of Repose. Was it Aqua?

Or Xehanort? Or some random-unknown-at-the-moment person?
