May 11, 201313 yr i tell them how back in my day i had to listen to elders stories starting with "back in my day"
May 11, 201313 yr Anyway, it depends. I don't really want to be the condescending asshole of a parent or grandparent that skews everything to make it sound like the past was better.
May 11, 201313 yr Sad Changes Back in my day you could just call to your friends house without having to text them a day in advance to give them time to get ready. Back in my day you looked forward to going out with friends, not swalling with a human near by so you don't look like a loner Back in my day Freddo's were 10p. Caramel Freddos were 15p. Walkers (Lays) was 40p. Back in my day if I wanted to call someone without my parent knowing I had to sneak the house phone out of the room without getting the wire caught. Back in my day, Cartoon Network wasn't shit. Back in my day, you could get a simple part time job in a local store without requiring experience. Back in my day, swag fags didn't exist. Back in my day, Goths were prominent rather than wannabe emos who turned into scene kids who turned in hipsters now they're going to Back in my day, people embraced and enjoyed the memories they were creating rather than desperately needing to pull themselves away to get a picture to make sure everyone on facebook knows what an awesome time they're having, instead of having an awesome time Back in my day, people bloody talked to each other instead of just wanting you there to stand beside them while they text someone else they'd rather be hanging out with Back in my day, cartoonnetwork and disney games on their website were hard (from being a child obviously) Back in my day, N64 graphics were cutting edge never before seen stunningness I'm 18.
