Finally!

We have news on this game!

PopCap has announced that Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time will hit iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch worldwide on July 18th. The game will be free-to-play with upgrades and in-game items available for purchase, though PopCap notes that “players can face every zombie and access every level in every world at no cost.”

According to PopCap, Plants vs. Zombies 2 “continues the epic struggle of plants defending your brainz against zombies from your backyard through the vast reaches of time, both past and future.” The game offers “dozens” of new levels and multiple themed worlds, plus new plants and new zombies along with “all-new touch-screen power-ups that enable players to ‘break the fourth wall’ and interact with zombies directly, as well as via plant defenses.”

Worlds confirmed so far include Ancient Egypt, Pirate Seas and the Wild West. PopCap also notes that merchant Crazy Dave will also return, offering “special plant upgrades and other tools and weapons.” Players will also be able to obtain plant food that “supercharges” plants.

“We’re confident that players will see the love and attention we’ve put into this game,” senior producer Allen Murray. “We’ve created wild new ways to experience the plants and zombies you know and love as well as packing the game with tons of completely new content, and we’re still hard at work coming up with even more cool stuff that will keep Plants vs. Zombies 2 fresh and evolving in the months and years following launch.”

PVZ2 will be at E3.

It won't be on pc?

Idk. Some places list it for PC but it isn't mentioned in the article. It should be on PC since that's more available and is how it got so popular

I got PvZ for free so I'm glad to hear 2 is free.

Not a big fan but it is a time killer.

What a clever sub name for the sequel :P I'll probably get it, play it for a while, then maybe never touch it again like I've done with other apps xD

Hoping it comes to PC or Android at some point, nice to know we're getting a legitimate sequel though!

(By the way, thanks for giving me the link to this thread Weiss. xD)

Took them awhile.

Garth: “We’ll be making PvZ 2 available on iOS devices exclusively at launch, with the game being adapted to other platforms/devices later. The sequence and timetable for those future platforms is not information we’re providing just yet.”

Better include PC

OH HELL YEAH!

The game releases in my B-day :D thanks the game Popcap :D

And facebook, the game has a PVZ community game :3

Too bad there's a huge chance it won't come to 3DS and Wii U...

The original made it on the DS.
