Hey everyone, how's it going? You know, I've been watching a few old Disney movies that I have, like the Lion King, Treasure Planet, and others, and I've been listening to the songs that appear in these movies, and I have to say that things have changed so much. Whenever I see these movies or when I hear the music from these movies, they bring back memories of my childhood, and I feel that sense of nostalgia, and I feel like a child again, happily glued to the TV screen, watching my favorite Disney characters. In comparison to today, the old Disney movies play at my heartstrings more, because in all seriousness, if you see Tarzan and Beauty and the Beast, even with their humorous moments, they have deep, emotional and powerful messages that make you think beyond yourself, not to mention that there was a kind of darkness in the final moments of these Disney films. (When Simba battles Scar, when Clayton falls and you can see from the lightning that he died by hanging.) I'm not saying that today's Disney movies suck, that's not it at all, but I can't help but feel more drawn to the older Disney movies. I don't know if it's because of the sense of nostalgia, or because of the beautiful artwork, but in my opinion, the old Disney movies were made with greater love and care. Anyways, that's just my opinion. Maybe that's also one of the reasons why I love the Kingdom Hearts series so much, since it has all my favorite Disney characters there. So then, what do you all think of the old Disney movies, and what are your most fond memories of when you grew up watching them?
