i believe the keyblade you are talking about is 'the keyblade of peoples hearts' which was composed of six of the seven hearts of the princesses of light, and concidering that, its time to make another forum!

Soul Eater is a sword that he, if I'm not wrong, got from Maleficent.

Soul Eater was given to Riku by Ansem I belive, because he was using the Keyblade of People's Hearts (Did they run out of names for keyblades or something? lol ) to stab Malifacent into a Dragon form, unlocking her heart. Ansem had a dual-sided Soul Eater weapon in his final battle, it could be a keyblade because

Xehanort's Heartless was the Heartless of MX, a keylbade weilder, then again Nomura said Xemnas could have used the keyblade if he wanted to.

In BBS Terra met Riku and gave him the ability to weild a keyblade, thinking the light brought him to Riku. So Riku was always able to weild a keyblade, KH Wiki says Riku used the Soul Eater to kill a heartless in Traverse Town that was going to attack Sora, then he got the heart keyblade from Xehanort's Heartless, then he used Soul Eater till KH2 when it transformed into a Keyblade from the realm of light, or a.k.a. Way to Dawn. So I say Soul Eater is a Dark Realmed keyblade.

Indeed! Ansem/Xehanort's Heartless was able to weild a keyblade I think like Xemnas is able to, and he used darkness to form two Soul Eaters into a double-sided polearm.
