Now the teaser's out, we know Sora comes by Eraqus' keyblade - the one that sealed away Ven in Land of Departure and turned it into Castle Oblivion. In the end of BBS Aqua cries tears of Joy when Ansem the wise tells her about Sora, so perhaps she sent the blade to him as the door to light from KH2 opened where they were unto Destiny Islands. This means Sora can rescue Ven now. It's the only reason I can think of for Aqua "intentionally" sending the blade. So, if that is the case, had that taken the biggest focus Aqua has away? What are your thoughts?

Well, just because Sora has the blade, it doesn't mean he can save Ven with it. Remember, only she actually knows how to get to the room. It's pretty peculiar that she sent him the blade though...Or maybe she didn't, and it ended up there for a different reason entirely. Only time will tell.

I'm still not sure if what we see in the trailer makes it to finish, but if it does, that's actually probably a really good idea.

Thank you sir, I appreciate it. I didn't make it, but I thought it was amazing.

Okay, let's say she sent it to him... how? And why did she not leave herself then?

Aside from that, I guess, if Nomura wants to he could just say "Sora can find Ven alone, 'coz heart!" xD

Well, did Yen Sid not find her? Kinda? There was something said in Coded or was it DDD? Sorry, I don't remember the details about it.

I think it was said in DDD that he had an idea where she was, but I'm sure they all knew that she was in the RoD because she just up and vanished from the RoL, and that's the only possible place someone goes to when they "vanish". But actually going there and being able to find her is a different story. I'm pretty sure Mickey looked for her during his travels to the RoD in KH1, but he was unable to find her.

I don't know if the teaser is relevant to the story. A lot could change. But I feel it is more likely that the keyblade is supposed to symbolize the connect between Sora and the others.

Whilst it is true Sora lacks the knowledge, Nomura has made it profoundly clear Sora is still the protagonist. If the completion of the 7 lights falls on someone else, it steals the glory from Sora, the playable character, away. Plus, it creates an opportunity for Aqua to make a bad-ass entrance mid-game B)

I don't think she passed the keyblade onto Sora. Remember Eraqus left Aqua that keyblade as a symbol of her being the heir protector of the Land of Departure. It was the tool needed to transform LoD. Noting that Sora has been tasked with finding the Guardians of Light, I believe it is symbolism. I believe it possibly refers to Sora locating Aqua and Ventus. Naturally Sora will need to locate the "Light within the darkness"(Aqua the last known wielder of the Master Keeper) that "Leads to the last key".

Remember, Master Eraqus himself said,

"From that day forward this land will be transformed. Anyone who enters will be lost to oblivion, none ever able to solve it's mysteries. None, Aqua, except you."

That means that if Sora were to go on his own to Castle O, then he wouldn't be able to navigate. This castle makes no exceptions.
