Okay, guys: Iwata said they had a lot of limitations with requests. That pretty much means only Nintendo characters, so Sora wouldn't get in. The only third party character I can see working with this is Snake.

 

Anyway, still trying to decide who the heck I'll put in for the ballot. Too many characters I'd like to see, and a few would probably never get enough votes, but I want to support them anyway...

Well, I just put in my vote. It's a character most people probably won't vote for, but considering I've been supporting her for DLC since the whole concept first came around, I figured that it would be wrong to put in a vote for someone else...

Agreed, Seven would be an amazing choice. I wanna vote for her, but given how spoilerific she is...I dunno.

I suggested in my vote thing that they could just go with her Homs design to avoid spoilers, although that would limit moveset choices. Of course, seeing as how unmasked Lucina got in, I don't know that Sakurai cares if he spoils Mecha Fiora. Heck, she's a trophy in the Wii U version.

Tetra sails into battle!

Tetra would be a unique new Zelda character plus we get a chance at the Pirate Ship returning.

I really wanna go out on a limb for one last third party character, obviously being Sora as he has the quality to make an amazing fighter, but we're better off voting for some nintendo characters who still deserve a worthwhile spot in smash

I voted for Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora. I also gave a very detailed description on why Sora from Kingdom Hearts 2 should be Smash Brothers.

I saw the URL for the confirmation page, but only got a black page saying "You do not have permission to view this page." Tried twice, same result each time.

Btw April 15th will also have tweaks to characters for "balancing."

Is it bad That I picked this game up just for Mewtwo and Lucas dlc? Dont get me wrong I love Super Smash but the game just felt empty without Mewtwo and Lucas!

That's how I'm getting all of my amiibo from now on. Imports are cheaper and Japan has better stock control for obvious reasons. If NoA or NoE can't be competent enough to understand the amiibo situation, then I'm done dealing with them.

Well a Final Fantasy character from the NESSNES era can get in if you really think about it

 

While I personally voted for Shantae(obviously ) I would've voted for either Cecil or The Warrior of Light from FF1(with male and female options similar to Robin)

They could, but given Square's rocky relationship with Nintendo, I don't really see it happening. I mean, maybe Nintendo could take Square into letting them use Geno, but that's the only thing I could really see happening with Square in Smash.

Well Square's relation with Nintendo ever since the GBA days were only in handhelds so eh.Also I don't think it's as rocky as firetrucking Ubisoft which is why I don't want Rayman to be in Smash because of all the bullshit Ubisoft did

This also depends on how they're selling worldwide. Everything went up from where they were yesterday. Lucina and Ness were about $25 a piece yesterday, and now they're about $35-$45. Either way, they're way worth it. It's better than paying over $100 on ebay for just one of them. people on craigslist are your best bet though. I've seen a Toad amiibo for $10 on there and he's a pretty rare amiibo. Others usually offer trades or hold 5 rares for the price one rare could go for on ebay.

I knew I should have preordered at Nintendo World. I might need to camp out (for once) on release day. Wave 4 has everyone single one of them rare af at the rate preorders are running out ASAP.

 

Nintendo doesn't give a flying firetruck, even after acknowledging the demand. I thought having wave 4 a month more than Japan indicated more time to supply amiibos, but it's the complete opposite.

 

At least Max Factory and the Goodsmile company has dat Lucina figma. *Hopes she isn't pushed back*

Square's also ditched Nintendo's home consoles with a lot of their biggest franchises at this point, which is why I doubt a Square character could get in. A character from the Enix side of the company (Dragon Quest) would make more sense. Of course, like you said, they're not on the same level as Ubisoft... I'd love to see Rayman, but after Ubisoft's crap, I don't think it's ever going to happen.
