This is what will be on the bottom screen in matches.  Names will be displayed just above the damage percentage if you use any. Also, clicking on any of the characters on the bottom screen highlights them on the top screen, making it easier to track yourself or opponents.

Nintendo released a new trailer today. This trailer is for the Smash Invitational, revealing our Announcers, Players, Host, Playable Characters, and of course: The Gamecube Controller Adapter for the Wii U. This sweet little USB adapter hooks into the Wii U with four slots to plug your Gamecube controllers in. I'd expect this to work for Mario Kart 8 as well.

This right here made me scream like a little girl....YESS I CAN USE MY GAMECUBE CONTROLLER FOR SMASH BROS AGAIN ^_^

In terms of Star Fox characters only Fox was revealed,what other Star Fox character do you want to be in the game guys?

 

Personally I want Krystal to be in Smash 4 but using her spear from Star Fox Adventure

Yo I'm not gonna lie, I still think the decision on Sakurai's part to not have another Subspace Emissary type story mode in Smash 4 was pretty dumb. Dude needed a chill pill when he decided not to include it in this next game.

Nah, not many people liked it. In fact, there were major complaints about it from fans of the previous entries. I personally had no problem with it, except...I only really liked it because I could easily unlock fighters without pushing 100s of hours into battles just to get one challenger.

Not many people liked it? I call bullshit on that. How can you not like all these characters getting together and actually having a NARRATIVE with one another instead of just randomly fighting. Not to mention that the sheer possibilities of what another story could look like with all these new characters (imagine Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man having some kind of three way face off in cutscene form) as well as the returning ones. In HD no less!

 

Sakurai's pretty much made up his mind, but we at least need to try that again next game, because it'd be a waste not to. 

Just found his reasoning to be stupid. Imagine if every director was with that thought? Besides YouTube going in with continent ID, it's difficult to upload videos just to be taken down fast. Even without that, it's up to the player if he/she wasn't to spoil themselves or not.

 

Anyways what's done is done. I still think his reasoning is stupid, but I'm looking forward to the game regardless. (And duking it out is what it's all about after all.)

Forget that! Yo, why are we taking two steps back here? SSE was basically Adventure Mode but with story and cutscenes and bosses and direction and co-op and awesomeness thrown into it in advance. 

 

I know its pointless to argue considering that Sakooooorai already said "no", but mother of Yoshi, this is plain ridiculous.

On the topic of SSE...

 

I have a love-hate relationship with it. It was cool seeing the characters interact, and unlocking the characters with it was really nice. However... I think that they executed it horribly. Not because of the story, but the gameplay. It just dragged on and on, and got really boring for me really fast. I love the concept, but don't like the execution.

I hope they do. However, if they do, they should improve how it was in MK8. MKTV was incredibly limited when it came to uploading to Youtube, which kinda sucked. Being able to upload more than just 1 minute clips, and more editing options would be fantastic.

Zoom in, Zoom out, Screen Whirl (Tap where, how large) And many more for Smash.

I believe you can, at least it's what I saw on the option to have the whole replay shown. The issue I see with it is the bad quality. No point in being 720p when it looks like the bit rate is low. I think SSB4 should have this, but further improved. If we already have the option to save replays, Wynaut have the option to upload? I just hope the quality is better+no time limit, but that's probably asking to much...
