What's up with this bomb? This looks like the stadium for the Home-run Contest, but there's no bat. Once you touch the bomb, it begins to count down. Give it enough damage and launch it at the right time…then once the bomb's countdown hits zero…!!

...It goes BOOOOOM! Not only will the blast destroy targets, but it'll also cause a chain reaction by using shattered walls and bomb blocks--all of which contributes to you getting a high score!! This is a new activity that combines the concepts of Target Smash and the Home-run Contest--it's called Target Blast! Your final score is the total you rack up over two rounds. Of course, your Target Blast scores contribute to your Global Smash Power, too.

This weekend was actually Sakurai's birthday, the birthday of the dude who gave us the Kirby franchise, revived the Kid Icarus series with the amazing Kid Icarus Uprising and most importantly, gave us our favorite fighting game series....SUPER SMASH BROS.

Happy Birthday Masahiro Sakurai

The Prince of Sable is an assist trophy. He comes from a game known as The Frog for Whom the Bell Tolls. If you've never heard of either, it's because this game was only released in Japan on the Gameboy.

Posted Image

He turns into either a Frog or Snake and unloads multiple attacks against any opponent he catches. You can add onto his hits with your own. You're pretty screwed of you get caught in it.

Only released in a game on  GB in Japan huh. Sounds familiar....:P

Also, that Assist trophy sounds unique and cool.

I'm also taking a guess Sable Prince is 3DS exclusive. Sakurai did note that there were a few differences in the Assist Trophies between both versions.

I always loved how the assist trophies are nods to underrated/unknown games. Sable Prince is an exceptional choice.

Now I just want Denpa men and Duck Hunt Dog as assist trophies.

Daybreak from Kid Icarus: Uprising is another 3 part combination item in Smash.

#Pitsfirinhislazer.

I had a feeling this would end up in Smash 4, it was too good of an item from Uprising not to use.

Ok, so Victini and Xerneas are support pokemon. Victini's ability is the Victory star whichs boosts attack power of whoever summoned it with a Pokeball and prevents them from flinching, and Xerneas raises the launch power of all fighters, but the most increase goes to the person who threw the pokeball.

Sakurai talks about how the Trophy Gallery works. You can rotate 3DS trophies using the touch screen.

He also notes that there's a "rumor" that the 3DS version alone has more than Brawl.

Having a hard time getting a certain trophy? Look no further, for it shall be available for purchase from the Trophy Shop. The trophies go on sale sometimes.

YES, IT'LL BE EASIER TO GET TROPHIES NOW! :D

Also, that trophy pic looks similar to how the Card/Idol thing looked in Uprsing. Big Surprise right? :3

Even more Kid Icarus Uprising. :3

Definitely looks like the Vault part of that game.

We've been needing one, right?

If you can't tell, it's a Gameboy stage.

Well that's interesting.

If you can't tell, it's a Gameboy stage.

Will it show multiple Gameboy games at random?

It'll be fun to see the stage changes to locations from Super Mario Land or Wario Land

So I was playing Brawl the other day and decided to use Ice Climbers. They have a broken up throw. It only does 6% damage, but it KOs the opponent every time. Initially, I thought this was the 1.5 DR, but tests done at regular damage and several stages showed this to be a scary reality that should not be touched.

Who knows right now? All we got from Sakurai was...

♪Ba-Ding♪

That'd be cool though.

There was also the mention of the 3D use with this stage.

So heres a thing

As much as i wanna believe Smash 4 Wii U is coming out on November 28th, its probably a placeholder date. It doesnt say November 28th for the Wii U version on the english or japanese sites. : Also, November 28th is still fall 2014, not Winter. I doubt they would bump the release date up.

Winter usually means Holiday, and November is in the Holiday Season, so this seems quite likely in that sense.

Fair enough then. I hope that's true, it would be nice for the Wii U version to come out a month after the 3DS one.
